Samurai confirmed as the second new job. Turns out it's a DPS as well.~

Also surprisingly we'll not only be going to Ala Mhigo but the entire continent of Orthard is included in the expansion as well. I sure didn't expect that.

Yay. I guess it makes sense to be a dps from a balance standpoint. All the primary stats are represented by 3 stats except str. Probably going to be a problem at first with queue times but I am still happy with this.

So Othard as well huh. I suppose it makes sense. Ala Mhigo doesn't seem that large and I doubt there are that many floating islands like Azys and SoC that they could keep using. But Damn, Othard is as big as Eorzea. Gonna make for a lot of exploring lol

Likely going to be a lot of dialogues that change depending on if the player has done the monk and ninja job quests. Glad I finished those up.

God knows the English Dub is gonna be awful in Doma. XD Especially if they use Japanese words like '-San" or "Senpai"

plp still use english dub? i changed mine to jpn as soon as i knew i could lol, they put alot more emotion into their voice acting than the english ones

I use the English dub simply because I disagree with the sentiment that Japanese voice acting is automatically better/has more emotion or whatever. There are certain characters that I actually prefer the vocal profile of in the English version, too. (I love Rie Tanaka to death, but I honestly don't care for her as Sophia. And Aymeric in any other version just doesn't sound nearly as fitting, imo.) I've listened to all of the available dubs and for those with a good ear for voice acting across multiple languages, each one is well done.

Also, I doubt there will be any use of honorifics in the non-Japanese versions, because none of the Doman NPCs we've encountered thus far have used them... so there's no reason for them to start now.

I don't. Neither do I use the Japanese one.
I started my trial account in french by default, and the dub is quite good actually. I tried a bit japanese but there was just a disconnect so I switch back to my langage and I don't regret it one bit.

i played 2.0 mostly with eng voices it was so boring i had to switch, doesnt seem worth switching back to eng voices just cause 1 or 2 of them arent bad.

At the end of the day though everyone has their own preferences, hell some dont even care about voices or the story

I personally can't stand the fake old English accent, so I switched to Japanese.

There are a few voices that sound better in English though. Sophia for example in the Japanese version she just sounds like a haughty queen, while the English voice is calm and detached like a Goddess of Balance should be.

Theres like two or three NPCs that are okay in English, Y'sthola, Rahaban and Y'shtola' teacher.

And it's already confirmed. Not only that, these new weapons have a +2/+3 Weapon Damage increase compared to the i275.

They are the best weapons in the game regardless of whatever substats you'll randomly get.

Mountains of salt are already piling up.

That and Emergency Missions where you can get them tend to be 72-man chaotic clusterfucks of miscommunication.

Edit - I just sold a Diadem minion for 7 million. Some people have way too much Gil.
