Nanoha looked at her opponent, she couldn't tell who was in there, nor could she see if there was any distinguishing features.
"Master, warning."
Nanoha nodded and floated back as the Mazoku threw its cloak off, revealing a body that almost made her throw up.
The legs were skinny and there seemed to be tubes connected from the ankles up to its hips. The worst part was, there was no skin and she could see its muscles throb. The abdomen and hips seemed to barely be covered and Nanoha was just thankful for the lack of visible organs, at least until she looked at the creature's chest and saw a heart beat in the center while seemingly pumping something throughout the creature's body. Its arms were thin while clawed hands flexed slightly.
Nanoha turned green as she looked at the face in more detail. There was half an eyeball in the creature's right eye and the rest of the flesh wasn't there, its mouth was covered by some sort of metal mask.
"...dis...usted?" The creature rasped at her. "Yo...ie now."
A powerful wave of dark energy was launched at her from the creature's left arm.
"Protection Powered."
Nanoha held up Raising Heart as the blast connected to her barrier. "Raising Heart."
"Alright." Raising Heart said as it popped a couple of cartridges.
"Divine Freeze Buster!"
"...mm?" The creature sounded slightly surprised as a beam of super cold ice slammed into it, encasing it an instant and freezing the air around them both as snow started to fall to the ground.
Nanoha nodded, at least that was taken care of, now she could...
There was a creaking and cracking sound and Nanoha just stared as the ice shattered, causing more snow and ice to fall to the ground below. "...No...nough..." It rasped out before holding a hand out at Nanoha and its arm stretched out, rushing out at her.
"What are you, Dhalsim?!" Nanoha yelped as she dodged the arm, only to yelp as the fingers bent around and started stretching towards her. "Hey! That's not fair!"
"...is...ar...ot fai..." The creature continued to rasp out before several pink spheres appeared around it.
"Then I hope you don't mind a few Divine Shooters to the face!" Nanoha yelled as she rolled out of the way of another stab at her face. "SHOOT!"
The Mazoku barely moved as it was bombarded from several angles at once with several spheres. The worst part was the Holy attribute each one was hitting it with. Suddenly his body was covered in a black glow that reminded Nanoha of flames.
"...ice...ry..." The creature rasped as the flames died down and it looked up at her. Its arm was back to normal, which Nanoha was thankful for. "...an...ie now." Its arms suddenly started glowing black and the sky around them darkened.
Nanoha frowned as her vision started to decrease. What was going on here?
Nanoha closed her eyes as her outfit changed. The dress disappeared and became more of a bodysuit, wrapping around her torso and legs tightly. She felt her hips wiggle slightly as the outfit clung to her waist snugly. She rolled her shoulders and closed her eyes as metallic sleeves wrapped around her arms before doing the same to her legs. Raising Heart came to rest between her breasts and getting wrapped around in a metal casing the left the bottom half revealed while covering her shoulders and chest while wrapping around her back, where six wings, three on each side, pointed down. Her shoes became encased in a hard metal while wheels appeared on the bottoms of her feet. Across her face, a pink visor appeared while on her left arm, a large cannon formed and on her right arm, a shield in a diamond shape with a whip pointing out of the end formed.
Opening her eyes, Nanoha smiled softly as data lit up on the screen. "Alright, got you!" She spun around and snapped her whip out, smiling softly as her visor's visuals switched views from normal to magical. There was a lot of static, but she could make out the creature's body.
"...essive..."
The hairs on the back of Nanoha's neck were the only warning she got before several sharp objects crashed into her from behind. "AHHH!"
"Protection Enhanced."
Nanoha stopped flinching as the attacks stopped hitting her, being absorbed into her barrier. "Raising Heart... Thank you."
"No worries, my master. We fought Mazoku before, let's show him Zenryokku Zenkai."
Nanoha grinned and looked at the Mazoku even as more explosions ripped into her barrier. "Okay, you monster! Time for you to die!"
"...ou can... mans ar... weak..."
"Not this one!" Nanoha growled as her wings slid up and making it look like she had a six-point star on her back. "Raising Heart! Zenryokku Zenkai! Chaos Enhance!"
"Ignition!"
Nanoha bit her lower lip to keep from crying out as her body was flooded with the Chaos energy that she inherited from her mother. Closing her eyes as a golden corona engulfed her, she felt the energy saturate her body and push the darkness away as she glowed like a miniature sun.
The creature staggered back as it saw Nanoha's hair turn gold. "...olden... ther..." It trembled as Nanoha opened her eyes and looked at him, the whites in her eyes had turned black while her normally blue-purple eyes had become a deep gold in color.
"I have had enough of you Mazoku always threatening my friends and family!" Nanoha called out in a voice that had the Mazoku unable to move.
Well, the voice and the fact that it was covered in golden binds as Nanoha pointed her cannon at it, golden energy condensing at the tip. "Goodbye, Mazoku, may we never see each other again. Chaos Cannon Supreme!"
The Mazoku could only stare as the energy rushed at it, engulfing it in an explosion that left it vaporized.
"Raising Heart, how much time do we have left like this?" Nanoha grinned as a display came up, showing the time to her before she looked at the hordes of minor Mazoku on the ground. "Then they can all enjoy a taste of this Chaos!" She took aim and fired several powerful shots into the crowd before flying down and extending her whip. "None of you will leave here alive!" She screamed as the massacre began.

"Arisa-chan?"
"Don't you Arisa-chan, me!" Arisa pointed a finger at them. "Nanoha, Fate, Yuuno, you two are doing naughty stuff together aren't you?"
Fate and Yuuno blushed and Nanoha pouted at her. "Darn, I thought we were being really secretive too! I was using my VR training to keep people from knowing."
Arisa blinked at her. "Wait, what? VR training? You were..." Her face turned red as Fate and Yuuno blushed deeper and Nanoha just giggled while rubbing the back of her head. "You three were doing THAT?! At school?! Like that?!"
Fate coughed slightly and looked sheepishly at their friend. "Well, to be fair, when Nanoha discovered that she could basically invite myself and Yuuno for some extra training, we decided to see how far it could go, and well..."
"I'm just glad I don't go to school with you girls." Yuuno said softly. "It's easier for you two to hide your reactions."
Arisa stared as Nanoha and Fate both blushed and giggled softly. "You dirty perverts!" She swung her arms up and down before grabbing Nanoha into a headlock. "You come up with something like this and don't tell me?!"
"But, you don't have magic and you couldn't join us!" Nanoha squawked out, before crying in pain as Arisa rubbed her knuckles against her scalp. "Oooowies!"
Arisa let go of Nanoha and turned before crossing her arms just over her breasts. "Hmph! I'll forgive you this once, but for crying out loud, if you keep this up, even Suzuka and Hayate will figure it out."
All three of them sweat-dropped heavily. If Hayate figured it out, she would never stop teasing them about it.

Greetings from Shanghai! dropping in for some sneaky Nanoha indulgence between my last meetings before going on a very Chinese vacation!
I have to say, thank you for the rather overwhelming response to Father's Knife. I'm really happy that you guys enjoyed so much, it was a great story to write and I was very satisfied with the result (mostly because I managed to tell what I considered a good tale with very few words. A sign of successful writing in my book.). I co-writed most of it already in mars when I was typing on Flying. Signum makes a very nice foil to writing Fate, they're both characters that displays a lot of integrity and fierce competence, and while they're in ways very alike I wrote Signum's story mostly due to her differences to the Testarossa prodigy.
If Someone is Curious about the Write: I rooted both of their characterizations, cheesy enough, in love (much of my writing do, for one or another reason. Vivio is no different). Fate's strength initially came from her desperate need to be loved, and she truly bloomed and became kickass when she finally had what she needed confirmed by Nanoha (since I'm a NanoFate:er).
Signum was very different. I drew her character from a different sort of love, from security and the unyielding sense of family. On the contrary to Fate, I imagined her to never, ever having to have doubted that she was loved and needed. She knew that great things were expected from her, but could strive for those things comfortably and always with support and under the stern scrutiny of a father who, while harsh, was fair and built rather than broke her.
This was my vision of those two when I was typing, and I'm so happy that you guys like what I've done! Father's Knife was, as I mentioned, a break from my regular writing style. Experiment confirmed successful!

Actually, I didn't give it much thought O_o. I wasn't holding back on the details of the world to make it less "bogging" for the reader when I wrote it, it just never crossed my mind to make it any more complicated. keep in mind that this story is done closely from Signum's POV, and she's at this point... 6 or 7 years old. ^^;. It would seem strange for her to be overtly sharp about all those large things beyond her peaceful world of planting, training and the wellbeing of her immediate family.
Also, I'm not well-informed enough about the Nanoverse to really speculate about the what and ifs of Belka and their technological standards of that time. I made it more medieval because this happened a long time ago, and Signum's living standards of that time is a reflection more of my ignorance of my subject than a flawlessly plotted plan for my epic mastertale. ^^; The King's Soldier's however, are a social class, they are allowed the good land for giving soldiers and mages to serve in the army. One from each family (or more, in times of war) must go, or they will be stripped of their land and this duty is a thing they take great honor in. it's the duty that forges them and the fundamentals which Signum's character came from. This was the basic idea, I will be keeping to this basic idea because I... just don't think it will be very fun to bury myself in the details. Does this answer your question?

Amazing start, the setting makes me think of a tribal kind of living that takes place in a larger kingdom/empire, which already makes my brain explode with thinking up of all the social and cultural implications that you've slipped in already in this first part . Little things like Seagull's siblings skimping on food to give her more, you do a great job of slipping these world-building details into the story that doesn't overpower the mood of what's happening.
The skipping food bit actually came from a Chinese novel I read as a child, about a sister who gave up her portion of dinner so her brother, who would be taking his university exams the day after would have more to eat. They were from a very poor family, and the scene has stuck with me for all these years because it shows great self-sacrifice and dedication in a very simple action. While I didn't imagine Signum's family to be dirt-poor (rather just the kind of simple folks who got by on what the earth grows, and their land is good, so yeah), I thought her duty deserved no less.

I'm glad you liked the hair-thingy! The story is so much focused on Vivio, so I tried to add a few details to make Hayate more.... personified? And since she's one of the few who gets an instant hair-job during her set up, well, hotness + coolness is never wrong by any book . Same goes for her mother, who I believe, was never mentioned in the anime. Hayate was one brave, lonely girl before the Wolkies showed up.

Normal POV
Precia stared at the stasis pod containing Alicia's body, wondering how long it would be before they arrived in Al-Hazard, or if her attempt to reach it would end in failure as she only had nine Jewel Seeds and believed she would need a minimum of fifteen to reach Al-Hazard. Recognizing that she was exiting the interdimesional void she desperately hoped she would arrive in Al-Hazard.

“Konan someone has entered the village..” Nagato informed Konan through one of the six dead bodies, which were collectively referred to as The Six Paths of Pain, that he controlled and that were the main method through which he interacted with the world after his legs were crippled. Whenever referring to one of the six bodies actions Nagato referred to them as his alias 'Pain' separating their identities from himself.
“Could it be another assassin, or possibly a spy?”
“No, their chakra is far different from anyone else’s I have ever detected with my Ukojizai no Jutsu. Their chakra feels weak, but there’s something nearly as strong as a Biju nearby, and is currently staying in one place.” Pain said, naming the jutsu that allowed him to control when it rained in Amegakure and also allowing him detect the chakra of anyone in contact with the rain.
“I’ll look for the intruder immediately.” Konan said, using her ability to turn her body into paper to quickly move throughout Amegakure.
“I’ll send the Animal Path to follow you and assist you if necessary.” Pain said.

Precia’s POV
I stared at my surroundings. Wherever I had ended up was not Al-hazard, this primitive rain filled city could not possibly be the legendary forgotten capital.
Only one of the Jewel Seeds I had used to create the dimensional disturbance that had brought me here was in sight, laying on the ground next to the stasis pod containing Alicia’s body, which was miraculously still intact except for a number of cracks in the glass. If only Fate hadn’t been such a failure, her kindness and stupidity prevented her from gathering all the Jewel Seeds for me. If I had all of them I could’ve reached Al-hazard and revived Alicia. And how dare she call herself my daughter when she was nothing but a worthless copy of Alicia.
“So you are the intruder Pain detected.” A female voice said from behind, as somehow paper cocooned my body “Whatever reason you have to be here will soon be determined once Pain arrives.”
I’m too weak to be able to fight anyone in my condition. Even if the effects of the dimensional transfer that brought me here hadn’t rendered me incapable of moving I probably wouldn’t have been able to do anything anyway, the disease that has been killing me since Alicia’s death has nearly killed me, I doubted I was going to live much longer. And it was all that failure’s fault.
A few moments later I heard the arrival of another person.
“Pain, she’s incredibly weak. I doubt she could do anything to resist right now.” The female voice said.
“It won‘t take more then a few seconds, the Human Path finds out anything I need to know from a prisoner with ease. Summoning Jutsu.” A tall male figure with long orange hair with multiple metal piercings on his face walked into view, wearing a black cloak with red cloud patterns on it. The new arrival had strange purple eyes with a ripple like pattern around the pupil. As soon as he finished saying that he a second figure appeared along with a small amount of smoke. Despite the strange name and lack of a Midchildan or Belkan magic array appearing the spell he used was essentially similar to the Midchildan spells used by summoners.
The Human Path, whatever that meant, placed a hand on my head. I felt a strange sensation pass through me almost as if someone was examining my thoughts, seconds later he began to talk.
“You’re quite the interesting person. You have knowledge and technology that far surpasses anything we do. And yet the one thing you want, that is so far out of your reach, I can give you. You want your daughter, Alicia restored to life? I can do that, if you serve me as a member of the Akatsuki.
“Pain…do you really believe she’ll obey you?” the female voice said.
“I learned everything I need to know by reading her mind. She is a wanted criminal on the planet she comes from, and currently has no way of returning. She ended up her after her last plan to restore her daughter to life failed, when people sent to arrest her interfered. If she betrays us I can always undo my resurrection of her daughter. We could use a tenth member of Akatsuki and her unique knowledge and talents could prove useful now that Orochimaru has obtained Uchiha Sasuke. And those blue gems, she calls Jewel Seeds that she has in her possession could be useful to my plans.”
“I’ll…do anything you want. Just revive Alicia.” I managed to say, my exhaustion making it difficult to say even that.
“Pain if you use that jutsu…”
“Do not worry Konan. Reviving one person and preventing another from dieing is not difficult at all with my current level of chakra. Gedo: Rinne Tensei no Jutsu” Pain said. Before my exhaustion overcame me and rendered me unconscious I heard him say to bring us somewhere we could recover.
An unknown amount of time later I woke up in a warm bed. Looking around I saw a woman wearing the same cloak as Pain. “Are you Konan?”
“I am, I will bring you to your daughter in a few seconds. First I must tell you that Pain is this village‘s, Amegakure‘s, leader. Pain told me what he found from reading your mind. That you are a scientist from another planet and wield a power similar to our ninjutsu. However even you would be no match for Pain. And even if you were able to kill him your daughter would die shortly afterwards. Pain restored your daughter to life in exchange you will provide us with any of the technology Pain found in your mind that we want, and you will assist in our gathering of the Biju and Jinchuriki. You may continue any of your research that you desire to and do whatever you want so long as you obey Pain. Pain also wanted me to inform you that if you have any more of those ’Jewel Seeds’ that were laying around on the ground near where we found you in your possession to hand them over. ”
I spent twenty four years attempting to bring Alicia back to life and it takes this Pain character seconds to do what I couldn’t? I will have to serve him until I figure out how he did it, once I’ve done that I can betray him safely if the need ever arises. “Very well I’ll do what he wants, I just want to see my daughter now.”
Normal POV
“This is one strange woman. She‘s probably less sane then I thought. However that lie about how my resurrection jutsu works should keep her firmly under control for as long as I have a use for her.” Nagato thought as he observed Precia interacting with her daughter Alicia through the visual link to Deva Path’s body generated by his Rinnegan.
“Mother what happened? I remember a flash of light then the next thing I know I’m sitting here on this bed.” Alicia asked as she sat up in the bed Pain had placed her in while she was still unconscious after being revived.
“There was an…accident. You were sick for a long time but you’re finally better now. We’re being staying in this village, Amegakure I think it was called, from now on. Their leader Pain helped me cure you.
“Thank you for helping me get better Pain-san.” Alicia politely told Pain. Not seeming at all afraid of him.
“Your mother promised to help out around the village in exchange for helping you and letting her stay here.” Nagato said through Deva Path.
“There’s a great deal of things for you to learn before you‘ll be of use to us Precia.“ Konan said, as she stood near the only exit to the room they were in.
“I said I would help and I will, once I‘ve spent some time with my daughter I‘ll begin doing whatever you need me to in order to be of use to you.” Precia said.
“Good having a tenth person to help with the Biju sealing will speed the process up. Ever since Orochimaru’s defection we’ve been short one member of ten limit for the Akatsuki. I also want you to give me as many of those ‘Jewel Seeds‘ as possible, they could augment the power of the Biju and make my plan more successful.” Pain said.
"When I arrived her I lost all of them but one, it will take time to find all of them for you." Precia said.
“Mother what are Biju and Jewel Seeds?” Alicia innocently asked.
“Power sources that could be used for experiment.” Precia said referring to the Jewel Seeds, not having slightest idea what a Biju was.
“I’d like to be alone with my daughter now.” Precia told Pain.
“Of course we’ll leave now, I’ll send someone to bring you to me later we have a great deal to talk about.” Pain said as he walked out with Konan.
“How are you feeling Alicia?” Precia asked.
“Fine now, but while I was asleep I had a weird dream. I dreamt I had a little sister named Fate.” Alicia said causing Precia’s face to pale.
“How does she know? She won’t understand that creating such a useless tool to serve as a temporary replacement for her was necessary to revive her.” Precia thought.
Here's the second chapter of my crossover, it's rather long compared to the first chapter and mainly focused on the Naruto side of the crossover with Precia having only a minor role in the second half of the chapter as it mostly deals with the events of the first arc of Naruto with some slight changes due to Precia's involvement, I'd have focused less on it but I'm not sure how familiar anyone here is with Naruto.
Next chapter will (hopefully) make up for the large amount of focus on the Naruto side of the crossover as it will mainly focus on Nanoha and friends getting involved.

Normal POV
Over the course of roughly six months Precia learned a great deal of information about the world she found herself stuck on , as she believed Pain was able to cancel his resurrection of Alicia at anytime from any distance, from Pain that he said Precia would need to know to be of use to him. Even if she knew he was lying about that, Precia had no way of knowing how much time had passed while she had and Alicia had been traveling through the interdimensional void, centuries or seconds could have gone by while they were uncontrollably traveling through it. She didn’t even know if she was close enough to another planet to be able to leave the planet through a dimensional transfer unassisted. If she still had the Jewel Seeds in her possession she could likely transport herself and Alicia to Midchilda or Earth, but after arriving she only retained one Jewel Seed which Pain had prompted taken from her.
In addition to learning about the world she found herself in Precia had attempted to rebuild her lab and replicate as much Midchildan technology as possible. Amegakure while small was highly industrialized and it‘s inhabitants treated Pain as the god he viewed himself as, which reminded Precia of the Saint Church‘s worship of the last Saint King, Pain had told the village’s inhabitants to provide Precia with any resources she asked for leading to her building a pale imitation of the former laboratory she had aboard the Garden Of Time. Much to Precia’s displeasure everything she was provided with was incredibly primitive, even the most rural area on Midchilda had far more advanced technology then what was available to her, she would barely be able to build the simplest Midchildan technology with what was available to her. Precia was able to convert the stasis pod she kept Alicia’s body into a cloning tank after Pain had ordered her to do so. Pain also had Precia attempting to locate where the remaining eight Jewel Seeds she had in her possession could have landed. Precia had managed to narrow down their general locations on the continent to areas near specific villages in what Pain had told her were collectively known as the Five Great Nations.
While working Precia had Alicia stay around her as often as possible wanting to extend the time she was with her, desperately wanting to make up for the time she had lost. Alicia helped Precia carry out the simplest tasks she had to complete as she wanted to be helpful.
Walking through the hallways of the tower Pain lived in Precia stopped outside the room Pain could usually be found it. The door was slightly ajar and she could hear him talking to someone else, which was strange because to get to this section of tower on foot someone would have to go past the room Precia’s lab was in and she hadn’t noticed anyone.
Listening in Precia heard a male voice she didn’t recognize speaking to Pain.
“Interesting pawn you acquired, the technology she has could be beneficial to our plans. She could most likely repair the damage to your body, as well as repair Itachi’s eyesight.”
“You don’t need to point that out to me. However her…lack of sanity is of some concern to me, if she snaps at the wrong time she could do quite a bit of damage.” Pain said.
“Insane pawns are controllable as long as you know what they desire. As long as her daughter stays alive you have what you need to control her as long as you desire.”
“Which is incredibly simple, if she somehow dies I can just bring her back to life again. By the way, I ordered Itachi and Kisame to come here. I plan on having Precia clone and then replace Itachi’s eyes to repair the damage caused by his Mangekyo Sharingan.” Pain explained, confusing Precia who had no idea what that was.
“Make sure you don’t allow Precia to keep his original eyes, we don’t need another mad scientist gaining access to the Sharingan.”
“I know what I’m doing. You don’t need to tell me what to do…Tobi.”
“Good, I’ll be leaving now. I have to meet up with Zetsu before Sasori and Deidara arrive in Sunagakure.” Tobi said.
Not wanting to anyone to realized she’d been listening in Precia quickly moved far enough away from the room that she wouldn’t be suspected of overhearing their conversation. After five minutes of waiting for Tobi to come out Precia grew frustrated and walked up to the door and knocked.
“What is it Precia?” Pain asked as the door opened. Looking into the room Precia was surprised to see that no one was inside other then one of Pain’s six bodies, the one he primarily used to talk to people face to face, referred to as Deva Path, which was coincidentally the most powerful one.
“I’ve finally finished setting up my laboratory, at least as finished as it can be with how primitive your technology is.” Precia said, her voice dripping with barely concealed hostility.
“Good, I have something I want you to do. One of the members of Akatsuki is slowly going blind, I want you to demonstrate your cloning technology by cloning his eyes, then I want you to replace the damaged ones with cloned ones. He should be arriving soon, and I want it completed before he is needed to assist in sealing the Shukaku, which should be captured soon.” Pain explained.
Two hours later Itachi and his partner Kisame arrived and were brought to Precia’s lab, where she had prepared everything she would need to carry out Pain’s orders.
“This is Uchiha Itachi,” Pain said pointing to the shorter, normal looking member of the duo. Precia found the fact that his eyes were red, with three black tomoe around his central pupil quite interesting as she realized that that must be what Pain called the Sharingan.
“And this is his partner Hoshigaki Kisame.” Pain continued pointing to the taller, strangely blue skinned shark like man standing next to him, who had a very large sword covered in bandages on his back. Precia couldn’t help but think that Kisame was quite possibly the weirdest looking person she had ever met.
“My name is Precia Testarossa. Pain told me that you’re slowly going blind, I can fix that. This will take a couple hours so let’s get started.”
It took a few hours but Precia managed to successfully clone his eyes and then transplant them. It would be a few hours before Itachi would be able to see, but he wouldn’t have highly degraded eyesight from the effects of the Sharingan’s advanced form, known as the Mangekyo Sharingan which could only be obtained by killing one‘s closest friend. Itachi‘s eyesight would continue to degrade however, as simply cloning and replacing his eyes would not cancel out the Mangekyo Sharingan’s side effect of causing the users to go blind slowly over time and faster with every use of the Mangekyo’s abilities. Pain had been carefully watching Precia that entire time and made sure that Itachi’s original, removed eyes were destroyed so Precia couldn’t use them out of a mistaken belief that Precia would be able to clone Itachi’s eyes. Unfortunately Pain didn’t know that Precia only needed a small sample of Itachi‘s DNA to create her own cloned Sharingan eyes if she wanted to. Precia didn’t know what use she would have for them, but it never hurt to be prepared.
Soon after she was finished Pain inform Precia and the other Akatsuki members currently in Amegakure that Deidara had captured the Shukaku’s Jinchuriki and that all the members of the Akatsuki were needed to extract the Shukaku from it‘s Jinchuriki and then seal it. He also informed Precia that Sasori had found one of the Jewel Seeds in the desert near where Deidara had fought the Shukaku’s Jinchuriki, Gaara of the Desert, who was the fifth Kazekage of Sunagakure.

“You’re late. Prepare it immediately.” Pain said.
“Shukaku‘s Jinchuriki was stronger then I thought, and we found one of those blue gems you wanted hm.” Deidara said after Pain summoned Gedo Mazo, the statue the Akatsuki used to extract a Biju from it’s host and to contain it once extracted, into the cave Deidara and Sasori were using as a hideout while Sunagakure Shinobi aided by Hatake Kakashi’s team from Konohagakure searched for them.
“From this point onward it’ll take three days and nights complete the sealing. Everyone also be mindful of your real bodies.” Pain said as every member of the Akatsuki, minus Itachi who was unable to assist as a result of his eye transplant, were gathered through use of a jutsu that projected images of them that allowed to see and hear everything that was said in their presence along with talk to anyone that saw them. Precia had been unable to use the justu after Pain showed it to her due to differences in Midchildan magic and Ninjutsu so Precia created a functionally identical Midchildan-style spell to use instead. Precia was incredibly annoyed at having to spend three days sitting in one spot while Alicia took care of herself, at least she would be able to carry out telepathic conversations with her.
“Ok, now, Zetsu use your real body as a lookout. Use your largest range.” Pain’s image said while standing on one of the fingers of Gedo Mazo statue as they prepared to seal the Shukaku inside of it after extracting it from Gaara.
“I know” Zestu said, surprisingly he looked even weirder then Kisame did. Looking more like a plant then a human.
“Three days eh…? I thought now that we had ten members again it would go faster. Why isn’t Itachi here?” Kakuzu asked
“He’s indisposed at the moment.” Pain said.
“Then let’s get started. I don‘t like waiting.” Sasori said.
“Sealing Jutsu: Nine Phantom Dragons!” Pain said forming a series of hand seals before the mouth of the Gedo Mazo statue opened and nine dragon shaped beams of energy converged on Gaara’s unconscious body.
Three days later.
“An enemy from Konohagakure is approaching our hideout. He appears to be very skilled his namie is Maito Gai.” Zetsu said
“Who’s that?” Hidan asked.
“He’s a Jounin from Konoha. He specializes in hand to hand combat. He’s quite talented so take care not to underestimate him.” Pain said
“Ah that bizarre beast…” Kisame said remembering his one fight with him. Gai was hard to forget as he wore a green spandex jumpsuit and had a bowl cut, not to mention his weird way of talking.
“I’ll use my Shoten no Jutsu to deal with them.” Pain said forming a series of seals.
“I’ll go. I have a personal vendetta against that man.” Kisame said.
“Indeed…after all that jutsu is suitable for you, as you have a large amount of chakra even for us Akatsuki, Kisame. However I’ll still need to have thirty percent of your chakra.” Pain said.
“Oh well…finally.” Kisame said. “It looks like I’ll be able to pay him back for that kick he gave me.”
“There’s another team of Konoha Shinobi. Led by Hatake Kakashi, and they Kyuubi‘s Jinchuriki is with them.” Zetsu said as he detected them.
“Precia you can take care of them. I’m interested in seeing how well you do against a Shinobi.” Pain said preparing to use his Shoten no Jutsu again.
“How will I know which one of them is the Jinchuriki?” Precia asked worried that if she killed one of the people whom Pain needed to capture he would stop keeping Alicia alive completely unaware that Pain couldn’t. Once Pain brought someone back to life they would stay alive regardless of whether or not he wanted them to.
“He’ll be the most visible in comparison to the people with him.” Pain responded.

“Naruto…can I ask you something?” Sakura said. “When did Akatsuki start targeting you?”
“I don’t know…” Naruto said.
“A while ago…two of Akatsuki’s agents infiltrated Konoha in order to contact Naruto. It’s been three years since then and they’ve started moving. Though I can’t quite see the motive behind this.” Kakashi said.
“Why did they wait three years?” Sakura asked.
“Maybe it was that they couldn’t take action, rather than choosing not to. He always had Jiraiya-sama on his side.” Kakashi said.
“Well…from what I’ve gathered, I heard there were other reasons. It requires considerable preparation to separate a Biju that is sealed within a man. I assume that’s what hampered their effort.
“A Biju?” Sakura asked as the four of them continued heading to Akatsuki’s hideout to rescue Gaara.
“What! You call yourself Tsunade’s apprentice and you don’t know what that is?” Chiyo yelled.
“The information regarding the Kyuubi is top secret material in Konoha, so…” Kakashi said coming to Sakura’s defense.
“Well I suppose so. The Biju are in fact magical beasts possessing tails…Suna always possessed the Ichibi. That is the guardian raccoon sealed within Gaara-sama. The Shukaku.” Chiyo explained.
“Ichibi? So there are different kinds aside from the Kyuubi…” Sakura stated.
“Indeed there are a total of nine Biju in this world. Each beast differs in charactristics depending on the number of tails they have. Ichibi possesses a single tail. Nibi possesses two, and so on until the Kyuubi. Each possessing a number of tails according to their name.
The Biju are a monstrous formation of chakra. During the Great Ninja War, every Hidden Village attempted to acquire the power for military purposes. They competed to obtain these beasts. However…no one can control such power beyond the ability of man. I’ve yet to know of why Akatsuki attempts to acquire such power…it is too dangerous.” Chiyo explained.
“Well, even through the time of peace, the ages shift on. I’ve heard that all the Biju are scattered across the world.” Kakashi said as they continued to head towards the Akatsuki’s hideout.
“Everyone halt!” Kakashi shouted.
“…who?” Sakura said as the four of them say a women with graying black hair wearing a black cloak with red clouds, the cloak that all Akatsuki members wore. In one hand she held a staff with a purple gem near the top.
“You’re supposed to be a ninja and yet you wear bright orange?” Precia asked, pointing at Naruto.
“Shouldn’t you be threatening to kill us and kidnap Naruto instead of pointing out his horrible choice in clothing?” Kakshi deadpanned.
“I was getting to that. The Kyuubi’s Jinchuriki is the only one of you I need alive so why don’t you save me some time and kill yourselves?” Precia asked sounding incredibly polite.
“No.” Kakashi said removing his Konoha Hitai-ate and revealing his Sharingan before performing the hand seals for his Katon: Gokakyu no Jutsu firing a large fireball at Precia who created a barrier to block it.
“Interesting eye you’ve got there.” Precia said before firing a Photon Bullet at Kakashi, who had already seen her attack coming and moved out of the way thanks to the Sharingan’s ability to predict movement.
“Shadow Clone Jutsu!” Naruto yelled creating a few dozen shadow clones of himself and having them all charge at Precia.
“Is that some sort of illusion magic?” Precia thought as she shot one of the shadow clones and saw it disappear in a burst of smoke.
While Precia was distracted by Naruto’s shadow clones Sakura threw a Kunai with an exploding tag attached to it at her, seeing it coming Precia created another barrier to block it, completely ignoring Naruto’s shadow clones as the remaining ones got closer to her. Believing that the multiple Narutos getting closer to her were nothing but illusions she completely ignored them until one of them punched her in the face, realizing her mistake Precia used a weaker but faster version of Thunder Rage to destroy the clones that were about to surround her, only for the resulting smoke cloud from a dozen destroyed clones to block off all sight of her enemies. Taking a couple steps backward Precia narrowly avoid getting punched by Sakura, for which she was incredibly glad, as she noticed that her punch had managed to make a small crater. Before Precia had time to perform a counterattack she noticed that Naruto had used his Shadow Clone Jutsu again and this time his clones were all throwing Kunai at her. Precia created a far larger barrier that all of the Kunai bounced off of harmlessly.
Naruto then created a couple dozen shadow clones that charged towards Precia, who had her Intelligent Device switch from it’s staff form to it’s whip form and channeled a large amount of Mana into it, causing lightning to run along the length of the whip and began to use it to quickly destroy all of Naruto’s shadow clones as they closed in on her. While dispatching Naruto’s shadow clones as quickly as she could Precia lost track of the Kakashi, Sakura and the real Naruto. The only person Precia did manage to keep track of was Chiyo, one of Sunagakure’s elders who was accompanying Kakashi’s team and staying out of the fight.
Tired from destroying all of Naruto’s shadow clones Precia was surprised when Sakura made her reappearance charging straight for her, while who the real Naruto charged her from the other direction a shadow clone helping him prepare his signature attack the Rasengan, a ball of condensed chakra spinning at high speeds that would expand and violently drill and shred it’s target upon hitting. As the two Shinobi closed in on Precia she used a chain bind to prevent Naruto from moving while she created a barrier to block Sakura’s punch, hoping that she would be physically weaker then Arf otherwise she stood a good chance of breaking through it.
Seeing the opening he had been waiting for Kakashi performed the hand seals for his only original technique, Raikiri, which gathered large amounts of lightning chakra into the palm of his hand before charging forward and thrusting it through the users target which usually always killed in only one hit. Precia’s back was turned to the bushes Kakashi had hidden in while she was distracted by Naruto’s shadow clones, rushing out of hiding at the high speeds required by Raikiri he aimed for Precia’s back, she would probably realize what was happening a second before he hit her, as the amount of lightning gathered by his attack had a side effect of making it incredibly loud.
Recognizing the sound of a lightning based attack Precia looked around for the source of it before she felt a sharp pain in the center of her chest. Looking behind she saw Kakashi standing behind her before hearing a disgusting noise as Kakashi tore his hand free and jumped backwards. Precia’s bind on Naruto and her barrier blocking Sakura’s punch instantly disappeared, Sakura moved out of the way not wanting to get in the way as Naruto continued to head towards Precia not wanting to let his Rasengan go to waste and planning on making sure Precia was dead. As the Rasengan connected with her body Precia coughed up a small amount of blood and laughed.

Opening her eyes Precia took in the familiar sight of her new laboratory before recasting the spell she used to project an image of herself among the gathered members of Akatsuki to inform them of what happened. But before she did that she took a moment to marvel at Pain’s Shoten no Jutsu, amazed at it’s ability to create a doppelganger of a person who provided the magical power available for it‘s creation. The doppelganger would look like and have access to the powers and weapons of whomever was controlling it. The only downside was it required a human sacrifice, the two spies Akatsuki had in Sunagakure who had been useful in entering the village and capturing Gaara filled that role quite nicely as they had no other use left.

“I don’t suppose you managed to kill any of your opponents?” Sasori asked as an image of Precia appeared on the Gedo Mazo statue.
“No, but I slowed them down.” Precia answered.
“Kisame’s fight is also over, he also failed to kill anyone. But we now have enough time to finish the Shukaku’s extraction, by the time the Konoha Shinobi arrive we will be done.” Pain said.
“And the two of us will have to fight our way out.” Sasori growled.
“Whichever one of you is holding onto the Jewel Seed you recovered, be careful how you handle it while fighting, they’re highly unstable.” Precia lectured Sasori.
“I’m used to handling dangerous materials, I make my own highly toxic poisons.” Sasori said as he was the one holding onto the Jewel Seed that he and Deidara found.

Seconds after the Shukaku was finished being extracted from Gaara, Kakashi and his team arrived at the entrance to the Akatsuki’s hideout. Gai and his team had been forced to leave and remove the four seals that prevented them from gaining entrance to cave Sasori and Deidara were in.
After Deidara created a large bird out of his exploding clay, that could move around and be controlled by him, and had it place Gaara’s body in it’s mouth he flew out of the cave on it leading Kakashi and Naruto away while Sasori was left to fight Sakura and Chiyo. After avoiding a handful of Deidara clay explosives Kakashi finished activating his Mangekyo Sharingan which would allow him to use his only long range attack, Kamui which warps anything Kakashi looks to a different dimension, in an attempt to kill Deidara. While attempting to decapitate Dediara by using Kamui he missed, as it took a decent amount of time to warp what he was looking at, and only severed one of Deidara’s arm at the elbow. Deidara was slightly glad that the arm he lost was the one that Gaara had partially crushed while he fought him, and as long as he survived and found his arm at a later point he could have Kakuzu reattached it. While using his one remaining hand to prepare another batch of clay explosives Deidara turned and saw a huge pillar of blue light coming from the cave Sasori was fighting in, the Jewel Seed had been hit by one of the attacks launched as Sasori causing it to detonate a large burst of magical energy that destroyed the top of the cave opening it to the air.
Turning around and flying back to the cave Deidara had his clay bird spit out Gaara’s body and swallowed Sasori’s badly damaged original body, Sasori had transferred his still beating heart into a specially made cylindrical capsule that would allow him to control the body of any puppet it was placed into and turned his body into a human puppet, along with Sasori’s favorite human puppet, the third Kazekage whom Sasori had kidnapped and killed. Sasori was currently in control of the body of one of a regular puppet which picked up the Jewel Seed that had ended his fight before jumping onto the clay bird Deidara had created.
Not bothering to take the time to kill Sakura and Chiyo who had been knocked unconscious by the burst of magic from the Jewel Seed Deidara and Sasori fled the cave before going to recover Dediara’s severed arm. Shortly afterward the two Akatsuki member’s escaped Naruto and Kakashi reached the cave and carried Sakura, Chiyo and Gaara’s body back to Sunagakure. Where once Chiyo woke up she used her Kisho Tensei Jutsu to bring Gaara back to life at the cost of her own life.

Aboard a TSAB warship in dimensional space.
“Captain, we’ve detected a dimensional disturbance coming from Unadminstered Planet one hundred and eight.” One of the officer’s of the ship’s bridge crew said.
“How large was it?” The ship's captain asked.
“Not very large, but the magical signature matches that of a Jewel Seed that was believed lost during the Precia Testarossa incident fifteen years ago.”
“Report it to headquarters, if we’re lucky they’ll send someone else to take care of it since this is the last day we’re supposed to be patrolling the dimensional sea before getting some time off.” The ship’s captain said sighing.
Why the closet anyway? I mean, there's always a restroom somewhere and I imagine the TSAB have empty offices here and there, during lunchbreak. ^_^

In the end, I decided against it because I liked living and I couldn't figure out where it would fit in the timeline, anyway.

It had yielded valuable data on her enemy’s capabilities, even though she couldn’t fully determine the full capacity of Yagami’s spells due to the battle being a training one rather than a real one. And of course, the video was two years old which raised the possibility of this combat data being out of date.
The Material-S and Material-L doppelgangers were also of interest. In particular, both counterparts wielded superior devices with the different modes that were showcased during the match. And there were those separate attack drones summoned by that white clad bug. But Material-D wasn’t bothered by that. As far as she was concerned, their devices would not be enough to catch up with her servants when it came to ability and skill.
And who would have thought that they would be in possession of not one but two Unison Devices?
‘Hmph…’ Her left fingers tapped against the coffee table’s surface next to her seat, a sign that she was in deep thought. ‘The red haired device recognizes the General of the Raging Fire as her Master. Once I have reclaimed the Knight of the Sword along with the rest, the device will have no choice but to follow.’
Oh, really? Are you confident that you can reclaim the Wolkenritter? They seem to be content with their current Master. And she appears to be competent enough to command their respect and loyalty.
‘Obviously, their definition of a competent Master has degraded over the years.’ Not that she could blame them. It must have been hell for them to serve incompetent masters over the years, their pride diminishing further upon each summoning. ‘I simply need to demonstrate that I satisfy the standards of being a true Master.’
The pendant form of Yersinia Kreuz pulsed softly before addressing Yami again. Then there’s the other Unison Device. The one who has inherited the name of Reinforce.
‘That is not Reinforce!’ The Hayate replica flared up for a brief moment, sending a small surge of mana through her left finger tips to damage the surface of the coffee table.
Did you not acknowledge her as the heir when you first heard Scrya tell his tale?
‘Obviously, my initial impression was too generous. That is nothing more than a child who does not deserve that name!’
So what will you do with that little one?
‘I have something in mind.’ She managed to shake off that earlier loss of emotional control. ‘Rest assured that she is still useful to me.’
I see you have it all figured out…
Material-D couldn’t help but smirk upon hearing her device say that. ‘Naturally. Just who do you think I am?’

Sette paused for a moment to notice the rather odd reaction her companion is having. “What is it, Yuuno?”
“That security keypad… it’s a Tazmo 590 model!” exclaimed the Librarian. Upon noticing the Combat Cyborg’s puzzled look, he went on to explain. “It’s part of a sophisticated security system that was created nine years ago for the Bureau’s use only.”
“And it responded to the Doctor’s microchip which means…”
Yuuno found himself getting disturbed as his mind worked out a possible implication. There was a possibility that the Bureau and Scaglietti had worked together at one point before the Doctor went rogue. But to what extent? And who in the Bureau had enough political influence and power to keep this relationship a secret?
It took him a while to steady his nerves. “We need to get access through that door somehow. But if we’re dealing with that type of security system, then we’ll have to be careful.”
“Explain.”
“Access passwords for this type of system are in the form of a five digit number combination. We only have three tries to get it right. If we fail on the third attempt, we’ll get locked out and the security system would only accept an input from an authorized administrator. Breaking and entering won’t do any good since the security system has a lot of counter measures against anyone who uses magic.”
“Are they strong enough to hold off someone like Material-L?” Honestly, it may be simpler just to bring her out and convince her that there’s treasure in that ‘dungeon’ so she could bulldoze her way through.
“There’s a chance that she could cause damage to the inner chamber if she forces her way in,” replied Yuuno firmly. “I want everything intact if I’m going to pull off a thorough investigation to get to the bottom of things.”
Sette thought about it for a moment before summoning the Blue Book which hovered over her open hand. “Your assistance please…”
“Forzare.” A few pages flipped over before a program began to run with a sequence of five phantom numbers running rapidly over the open pages.
“My device estimates that it will take eighty four minutes to determine the code,” said Sette.
“That long? That’s past the dinner time curfew,” noted the young man.
“If you wish to gain entry, then I must remain here to run the program and decipher the password.”
Before he could protest, his scanner beeped a few times to catch his attention. “Now what?”
“My long range internal sensors have picked up another space vessel engaging in atmospheric re-entry,” said the pink haired Combat Cyborg. “I presume your own scanner has picked up the same.”
“Yeah. I better go find out who it is and see if they need any help.” At this time of year, he hardly expected anyone to make a visit to this quiet little planet. “I’ll be back as soon as possible. In the meantime, please keep me informed of your findings.”
“Affirmative.”
Satisfied with Sette’s reply, Yuuno headed off to track down the ship that just descended.

“Are they strong enough to hold off someone like Material-L?” Honestly, it may be simpler just to bring her out and convince her that there’s treasure in that ‘dungeon’ so she could bulldoze her way through.
“There’s a chance that she could cause damage to the inner chamber if she forces her way in,” replied Yuuno firmly. “I want everything intact if I’m going to pull off a thorough investigation to get to the bottom of things.”
Sette thought about it for a moment before summoning the Blue Book which hovered over her open hand. “Your assistance please…”
“Forzare.” A few pages flipped over before a program began to run with a sequence of five phantom numbers running rapidly over the open pages.
“My device estimates that it will take eighty four minutes to determine the code,” said Sette.
“That long? That’s past the dinner time curfew,” noted the young man.
“If you wish to gain entry, then I must remain here to run the program and decipher the password.”
Before he could protest, his scanner beeped a few times to catch his attention. “Now what?”
“My long range internal sensors have picked up another space vessel engaging in atmospheric re-entry,” said the pink haired Combat Cyborg. “I presume your own scanner has picked up the same.”
“Yeah. I better go find out who it is and see if they need any help.” At this time of year, he hardly expected anyone to make a visit to this quiet little planet. “I’ll be back as soon as possible. In the meantime, please keep me informed of your findings.”
“Affirmative.”
Satisfied with Sette’s reply, Yuuno headed off to track down the ship that just descended.
‘They don’t even observe the proper protocol between Knight and Master.’ That was Yami’s response to the comment from her device as she continued watching the footage in front of her. It had yielded valuable data on her enemy’s capabilities, even though she couldn’t fully determine the full capacity of Yagami’s spells due to the battle being a training one rather than a real one. And of course, the video was two years old which raised the possibility of this combat data being out of date.
The Material-S and Material-L doppelgangers were also of interest. In particular, both counterparts wielded superior devices with the different modes that were showcased during the match. And there were those separate attack drones summoned by that white clad bug. But Material-D wasn’t bothered by that. As far as she was concerned, their devices would not be enough to catch up with her servants when it came to ability and skill.
And who would have thought that they would be in possession of not one but two Unison Devices?

Once I have reclaimed the Knight of the Sword along with the rest, the device will have no choice but to follow.’

“And it responded to the Doctor’s microchip which means…”
Yuuno found himself getting disturbed as his mind worked out a possible implication. There was a possibility that the Bureau and Scaglietti had worked together at one point before the Doctor went rogue. But to what extent? "My, my..." A rather bored and feminine voice spoke up behind Yuuno. Spinning around, his eyes widened as a blue cloaked being appeared in a swirl. Taking off the cloak, Yuuno felt like groaning as he saw that the person had long white hair, green eyes, breasts that were almost as large as Vita's were and was only wearing some sort of metal bikini over her breasts and crotch. "Such a powerful warrior." She drew her hands up to her lips and he shivered as she licked her fingers. "It's almost a shame that we have to fight."
"Boss..."
"What is it, Thoth?" Yuuno twitched, no doubt his device was going to say something rather perverted and make things worse for himself right then and there.
"Vita's better looking."
Yuuno smirked as the Mazoku twitched at the statement.
"Oh, so, this Vita..." She narrowed her eyes at him. "Oh, I see... It's not just her, you desire several women." The woman disappeared before reappearing behind him. Before Yuuno could react, her arms wrapped around his chest as she pressed her breasts into his back. "It's hard, isn't it? To have such beautiful women around and unable to... Deal with it." She whispered into his ear and Yuuno shivered, both at the voice and the effect she was having on him.
"Boss, really, if you need something to look at, I've got pictures."
"Boss, is it?" She whispered to him while rubbing his chest. "Tell me, boss... What is your name?"
"Y...Yuuno Scrya..." Damn his hormones, did they have to act up now of all times?!
"Well, Yuuno... Just tell me... Which one do you desire the most?" She whispered to him. "I can become any of them, allow me to become your desire."

She growled at him. "Dammit, if I can't get you one way, I'll get you another!" Yuuno stared as she cloaked herself in darkness before her body shifted and became larger. When she was visible again, scales appeared on her arms, her hair had become barbed at the end and her torso was covered in fur while her face had become hideous. "I hate looking like this, but if I can't get you to join me, I'll kill you!" She growled as she was about to lunge at him, but found herself suddenly wrapped in chains. "What?"
"I'm glad that you did that..." Yuuno smiled at her. "It makes it easier for me to hurt you." His hands started to glow as a glint came to his eye. "So... Goodbye. RA TILT!"
"You think so?" Her eyes narrowed and Yuuno gasped as she seemed to disappear, his blast passing through where she was a moment ago. "Nice try, little boy." Yuuno gasped as his arms and legs were suddenly grabbed from behind and he sank into the stone partially, leaving just the front of his body out of the stone. The woman, back in her normal form, reappeared in front of him. "Nice trick tying down my Astral Body like that, but, you left a hole in it."
"What hole?" Yuuno grunted as he tried to move, but found he couldn't.
The woman grinned as she got up close to his face. "You're human." She grinned as Yuuno's eyes widened when her fingers pushed into his face, not harming the skin, until she pulled down and out, tearing a chunck of flesh out of his face. As Yuuno cried out in pain, she chuckled and looked him over. "Hmm... I wonder..." Trailing her bloody fingertips down his body, she stopped at his pants and grinned. "I wonder just what you have in there."
Yuuno growled and even though his face was bleeding, he tried to ignore the pain and focus on her.
She raised an eyebrow at him. "A barrier around your pants?" She squeezed her hand into a fist. "That won't work!"
"No, but this will, Ra Tilt!"
"Huh?" She stared as a Ra Tilt was fired from the barrier around Yuuno's pants straight at her face. When the white energy connected, she was thrown back and trembled as her face started to smoke. "Ugh... That... Didn't feel too good."
"I hear it comes out if you use peanut butter." Yunno muttered and sighed as he disappeared from where he was, only to reappear in mid-air, flexing his arms and shaking his legs. "Damn, that really hurt!"
Groaning, the woman was grabbing at her eye as she looked up and glared at him. "You got that stuff all over my hair and eye! Look at them! They're ruined thanks to you!"
"Hey, boss, how about we shoot the moon?"
Yuuno grabbed at his face as he tried to heal the damage, or at least stop the blood flow as the woman let out a shriek and rush up at him. "Well, that couldn't hurt, alright, let's do it!"
Just as she got close to touching him again, Yuuno was suddenly surrounded by a corona of Holy flames. "I blame an all night anime marathon for my next technique."
The woman glanced around as she was surrounded by flames. "What is..." Looking back at Yuuno, she gasped as he held his hands above his head, a point of light appeared there before he slowly pulled his arms apart. "What's that!?"
"A crescent moon..." Yuuno grinned as he grabbed it and then threw it at her. Her eyes widened as it split into two and slammed into her sides, pinning her in mid-air even further. "Now..." If she had blood in her face, she would be paling as he created fire in his open palm that started to spin. "Secret technique! Flame Spiral PUNCH!"
She let loose a scream as the spinning fire connected with her chest, the spiraling energy basically drilling through her body and tearing her apart as the force of the blow sent her spinning away until she exploded, lighting up the sky with her death. "Impressive..." She managed to breath out at the end as she exploded to nothingness.
