I wonder if Wil is going to build up some issue with motor transportation considering all that has happened to him. That plane ride was a pretty tough one from the start. Having to navigate through the town, fall into a chasm, inverted tricks, then an unhappy Alison concerning what Benedict was able to accomplish . Allison just snapped there with another dense comment from Wil .

I'm with Deathkillz, Benedict is such a pimp . Of course he does care about Fi, but you could see him able to use that with other girls. Certainly a trip full of revelations for the both of them. A pair of impostors doing what they can for their own personal reasons. Honestly didn't see Fiona not being the real princess, but interested in hearing her reasons.

Poor Allison....Girl has so much trouble getting what she needs to say to Wil out there. Either the timing isn't right, something gets in the way, Wil loses consciousness . I'm sure she will get her chance to pull it together eventually. Can't wait to see the expression on Wil's face when that time comes.

I disliked the fact that the audience isn't important enough for Fiona to explain her reasons to us as well. The whole sequence was such a blatant attempt at keeping the audience in suspense for the sake of a ZOMG plot twist later on.

How does that Noto Mamiko fanboy chant go? Something along the lines of "Noto-chan, Noto-chan, kawaii-yo Noto-chan". The girls in this are seriously moe (and I mean true moe, not the manufactured stuff that's designed to win tournaments), but at this stage, it's really asking a lot of us to take this show seriously.

I had no problems with the fact per se, only with the execution. With Benedict's little speech after the off-camera relevation to be exact, sounding all like "The reasons. You explained them. And I understand. I do. Oh yes. Now. Because you just explained them to me. The reasons." in my ears. A little more modesty would have been in order.

There was just no subtlety to it, and that was my big problem with it. It was so obvious what they were trying to do. I'm not sure what exactly they could have done to avoid making the attempt to draw out the audience's suspense so blatant, but it didn't even look like they were trying. Maybe they should talk to the writers of Lost. Lost is evil with the way it keeps propagating unanswered questions, but people (myself included) keep coming back for more.

Hmm for some reason this reminds me of that woman who was claiming to be Tsar Nicholas II's daughter. The location, the royal family executed and the imposter are all characteristics that match up. Even so this little arc has been predictable and boring so far and I am quickly losing interest in the characters.

Man, I think I've been playing too much Rondo of Swords in that I'm thinking Fiona is the body double of the real princess, charged with a mission by her upon her death to save her kingdom when the need arises later.

Allison for sure won't and don't want to miss the chance to hug Wil whenever she got the chance to do it..




The moment i saw this scene,i knew for sure it would lead to an ending similar to those old fairy tale story like Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella.




How on earth Ker Benedict can be so lucky...when the guard before him fail to dodge Owen's attack,Ker not only manage to avoid himself from being stab,but also..the way he dodge it is surely amazing.I'm not sure if he really intend to risk his life for pulling such stunt,but for sure,those trick manage to heighten Fiona's respect and admire for him.




One punch is all he need to send Owen fly.




Yess...there it is..the Cinderella/Sleeping Beauty like ending.





Now here's the logic...i don't know what kind of wind charm that Ker uses to avoid himself and Fiona from being blown away by the strong wind.I'm sure this series favor Allison,Wil,Fiona and Ker so much,to the point where no danger/harm things in this series that can actually harm them (not even a scratch on their clothes).

You know what i like about this series?Its the thing between Wil and Allison..





Sometimes Wil's seriousness on certain things can really causes Allison to misunderstand..especially when it concerns about a pretty looking girl.

So let's see,about today's story..

7 minutes 42 seconds for Fiona to declare her victory over Owen.

14 minutes 40 seconds for Owen to dig his own grave.

That's what i call total pawnage..it's funny that their path to victory seems to be quite easy.Everything flow so smooth,as expected since few episodes before.I'm not really sure if i really need to complain about this,and asking the anime maker to increase the level of hardness that Allison,Wil,Ker and Fiona need to take.But i guess that would be impossible anyway.

So the screenies above summarize most of the story for today's episode.Not much that i can tell anyway,except being impressed by Wil's sharp thinking.The things that were not revealed in the previous episode is finally told in today's episode : Fiona and Francesca are actually twins.Wil explained that the royal flower symbol (which should come in pair/twin) were actually represent both Francesca and Fiona,however for the sake of safety (i believe),the symbol was divided into 2 separate symbols.The symbol of left-facing flower represent Francesca while the right-facing flower represent Fiona.I'm not sure if i miss the explanation about the reason of why they both were separated from each other...but i think,no..?

It has been a long time that the village where Fiona stayed already knew about Fiona's true identity,and keeping the symbol of her in each of their house,which explain about their behavior of being over protective and cautious/alert when a stranger come into their village.

The most catchy scene in this episode for me will be the last part when Allison stating about Wil being sharp about the secret behind the royal symbols,but dull and dense when it comes to her feelings.I'm almost die laughing when see Wil's reaction to it.Owh gawd Wil...how many more episodes are you gonna keep yourself like that You need to wake up!!Those hug and sleep-together are not just for fun ya know...it means alot to Allison

And Allison,don't give up~~ i'll cheer for you!!

It was a nice story afterall anyway,although the storyline went so smooth and easy.I was hoping something more challenging for them in the next arc anyway,although fat chances it would probably be another easy journey for them.

This episode wasn't bad, but there were some... "Hah?" moments and overall, I wasn't impressed or emotionally moved by much of this episode. To be honest, kind of disappointed.
Examples:
-Deja vu of the climax of the first arc. The bad guy just suddenly dies. This time was felt even worse than last time, with the guy getting blown off the building...
-Suddenness overload. The worst example was when that guard just pounced on the politician. That, my friends, was funny.
-I felt the coincidences just happen to be... well, coincidental. The guard just happens to be someone who knew Francesca, she just happens to have something to prove the guy was a criminal, etc. Overall, shonen manga feel there.

The politician guy proves to be a pathetic antagonist. Watch for yourself, it isn't worth talking about the guy.
I guessed right. yay~ Fiona is the twin of Francesca.
The village is revealed to be made to protect Fiona. Go figure.
yada yada, etc. etc.

Anyways, the second arc is over, and I assume the next (final?) arc will have the train in the OP.
To be honest, this arc was decent until the end, where it dropped to mediocre. No favorite between the first or second arc.
I hope the story tries its best for this finale of the first half of this anime.

Preview: What the hell? Just how much time has passed between this episode and the next for Benedict to grow that beard? Who are you, Abe Lincoln?

Well, it wasn't too bad.

Predictable...very predictable...almost text book like.

The way the evil dude died was lame, as much as how Fiona can only play the role as the hostage...what happened to fighting back?

Allison is still proven to be the clueless one, unlike Will. Imo they do make a great couple, even if their personalities are obviously swapped.

Now that this arc is over though, I wonder what will be next on the agenda. I see Allison wearing a dress...but I guess it won't be for long until it is torn to shreds ^^

Unfortunately, this seems to be the resulting problem. If the sense of suspense is killed off too early, then you get the sense that everything will be resolved too easily to the point that it becomes simply predictable.

In that respect, I think that Allison and Lilia, in an attempt to adapt the novels, also opted to aim for a younger audience. (Well, it seems to be that way at least for me...) The show still has some entertaining moments in it, but they're mostly limited to cute scenes between the main characters. But in front of the backdrop of a national conflict and whatnot, cute just can't cut it alone.

What the hell? This has been made way too cute. I really don't know how they will animate the next few arcs, with so many people dying.

I was shock that Wil have such a good deduction, saw the symbol then know have twin princess but in term of feeling still dull .... good luck to Allison and don't give up .

Is the novel like this? If possible, could those who have read the novel, mention what changes have been made. Unfortunately the story seems to be aimed at kids, I mean, the bad guy gets blown away! Cubicjack's post seems to imply that the bad guy didn't just get blown away, and Wil used his gun! Did he?!

When you put it that way, I imagine the story is supposed to get darker later on. If so, I can only hope for the best.

So much of the original potential of the anime isn't realized, that it makes me sad to see things turn out this way.

I wouldn't say it's supposed to get darker, but there definitely are more murders and deaths than the first 2 arcs.

ep 9

Holy moly! Another time skip. How many years into the future is it now that Fi is no longer a short "loli"

Well surprisingly though I wasn't too bothered by the slow pace of this set up episode. In fact, I think I am getting used to the atmosphere and actually enjoyed this ep more than I expected.

On that side though, nothing much happened besides the set up.

The trio first meet up in a train station where we see Allison in a cute looking dress. Shame that she can't get out of her habit of being a tomboy though ^^

Fi like I said has grown a lot since the last time we've seen her.

Benedict is undercover for some reason and looks hilariously misplaced. He talks to another army guy who is just suspicious...it's those eyes again.

Well anyway things are going pretty well between Fi and Benedict...unlike Allison and Will.

I can't believe how much of a blockhead Will is as he makes Allison not only mad once, but twice.

First time he finds more enjoyment looking at the scenery than at Allison, whilst the second time he didn't look at all when Allison told her not to (because she was changing).

Sheesh...I feel sorry for Allison

They don't stay young forever you know >.>
