They're not snatching it away. It's not being 'taken away' from you.
Sigh. Everytime some popular series gets licensed, people complain. #chronoGen's channel this afternoon was full of "F*** ADV', 'LET'S GO BOMB THEIR HEADQUARTERS', 'HOW COULD THEY DO THIS TO US', etc... Get a grip. Buy the DVDs when they come out. |

Hoho... predicatable responses here. Anyway NoSanninWa's reply in the Maburaho thread also applies here:

expect the title to be licensed for extra $$$) or even directly by US anime companies (such as Dead Leaves by Manga Entertainment). So if there were no US companies who'd license titles, there would be much less anime to watch in general! |

I know that in Fullmetal Alchemist's case, I'll keep getting the raws each week even after it's licensed. Even if I don't understand, I'll kinda pull through. It is really depressing when a series gets subbed, but we can't do much about it, unfortunately... (except bomb ADV's headquarters )

I can understand peoples frustrating in not being able to watch a new show they like on a regular basis after licensing, but come on people, you can't expect these companies to be mindful of people illegally downloading subs. :| If you really like the series then you'll support its US release. |

Cool. More stuff for me to look forward to buying when I finally get enough money to. First up is FMP; I hope ADV does a good job of it. I just noticed today, so I figured I'd check the forums to see what was up with CC. I am a little disappointed, but I'm quite glad I got to see ep 15 before it got taken off! It would have been quite a nasty cliffie otherwise . . .
And as for the rest of you who're griping about it, too bad. Just buy/rent it when it comes out on DVD. Support the industry. If you don't buy the DVDs for series you like, who will? And besides, we can't have the industry going broke, can we? If it does, anime fandom will cease to grow the way it has! So, all I gotta say is, sit tight, wait for the DVDs, and buy 'em! I just hope they come out 4 eps/DVD . . . ~ Kurama no Miko2003 |

Do you honestly believe that there aren't two, three of more companies
persuing Naruto? That series will be a goldmine to whomever gets the license. Just think of the profits they could make off the merchandising rights to the series. I doubt there isn't a bid on it that doesn't include North American merchandising rights. Honestly, the only reason I believe Naruto hasn't been licensed yet is because no one company has yet to make the bid that makes the others look small by comparison. Quote:
They only license movies. |

It's funny I've only watch the frist two ep of Chrno Crusade and I was looking to download a third one when I read this. I'm still undecided on the series but I will check it out on the Anime Network (Digital Cable rocks). Then if I decide I really like it I'll get it on DVD.
