The better question is, would Media Blasters be picking up season 2...?

Most likely. As much as their dubs make me cringe or laugh. Its fine for Genshiken I suppose.
And I'm assuming this won't a sequel that'll hold a stand alone license either.

I haven't read the Geshinken manga yet but from what I know the Kujibiki Unbalance manga is embedded in Geshinken manga (a manga inside a manga >.< or something like that I think)

But there are also Kujibiki Unbalance manga that are published in seperate volumes. If these manga volumes contain the same Kujibiki Unbalance manga that appeared in Geshinken manga or maybe a completely new story I have no idea >.<

Here are the Kujibiki Unbalance manga volumes:

The manga are published under the seinen(young men's) label MF Library J.
For now there are 3 volumes released of this manga, here are the covers:

Genre: Seinen, Comedy
Genshiken getting a second season is surely nice
But what I'd really like to see is Kujibiki Unbalance getting a full actual first season! They really cheated us there!

I'd like to know too.

I hope Media Blasters does license this though...I liked the genshiken dubs and the menu system on the actual dvd. I thought it was neat.

Yessss!! First School Rumble second season, then Genshiken second season. This will be one damn good anime year. The only thing we need now is the fourth season of FMP and a GitS:SAC 3rd GiG

Now I'd say this is probably my favourite series of 2005,

so far I got 3 volumes of the manga (they should hurry with the english version )
Well...if you own the manga, and you watched the anime, you can kind of make a guess about it. I just finished re-watching Genshiken last night and the end of the 3rd volume (when Saki sets fire to the old stuff that she made the members of Genshiken through out) happened, more or less, about halfway through the 11th episode. So...taking into account Saki's cosplaying and the 12th episode...I'm making an assumption that the first series stopped at about halfway through the 4th volume (give or take).

As for the manga, the next issue is going to be out on Jan 31st (yay!). However, the volume after that won't be out until Apr 15th...

As far as plot and following the manga as best they could, they did stay on track. It seems to me that the staff either got lazy along the way, rushed the process or lacked money.

Hmmm this is good news. I wonder if they're still gonna follow the Manga or if they're going to go for a original than the Manga. Either way I'm looking forward to this.

Looks like apparently it's not going to be a second season of Genshiken, but an actual standalone Kujibiki Unbalance series!
