(L) Jigoku Shoujo Mitsuganae (Hell Girl 3rd Season)

it is obvious that there are many jigoku shoujos b4 Ai judging by the ending sequences. quick question though, who is the first jigoku shoujo and her origin, or at least where this show is based on in shinto religion (the whole jigoku shoujo thing)?

She was still alive in season 2, so I assume she is alive...

The vanishing is very typical in anime... You know, like suddenly a truck passes and a person the main character saw disappears.

I don't know the exact time, but it is when Yuzuki started going into the river. The nurse that called out to her was Tsugumi.

I really don't want know what happened to Hajime. He is a very very selfish and arrogant man the way he treated his wife and daughter. I couldn't believe that his daughter forgave him at the end of season one. Trust me, that does not happen in real life. But I agree that it is a lot better for Tsugumi to forgive her father.

Really... I personally liked his character and was quite glad he managed to reach an understanding with Tsugumi. He definitely treated his wife wrong, but he knows he messed up at that time, and when he finally snapped and threw her out, it wasn't like she was innocent in the matter.
And for Tsugumi, he clearly showed he cared for her, even if he tended to get a little bit too obsessed with Ai.

There is no question that he cared for his daughter deeply and he had, indeed, taken good care of her. This is what made it more difficult to see who he really is. The constantly very harsh attitude (harsh attitude is not limited to angry faces only) and perhaps bad language toward his late wife, the child’s mother, must had hurt Tsugumi a lot more than she was willing to show. Harsh attitude includes showing his hatred to his wife in front of Tsugumi so obviously. He did not even bother to disguise it, not much. Despite of what he said and did, he made Tsugumi bear this kind of pain, an only seven-year-old girl, not to mention his own daughter, for years, seeing her own father hating her mother (maybe even cursing) and ultimately led to her death. He was not even aware of how much he was hurting his daughter. If he was aware of that but just did not want to do something about it because of his hatred to his wife, then he is truly selfish. If he was aware of that and did not care enough for his own daughter’s pain, then he is truly selfish and arrogant. If he was just plain not aware of how much pain he would cause Tsugumi by doing so, then he did not care for Tsugumi as it might seem, like he put himself first, and Tsugumi on the very bottom of his list, but still thinking himself as “ I care for my daughter always.”

This is anime. The issue was resolved so fast—and well-- in the end. In real life, any psychological wound is going to take a long, long time to resolve and heal, if possible.

I was quite convinced that she passed away and only came back to warn the detective in the past season. I kind of remember that there was even something odd happening when she met Kikuri at the cross-road. It seems like she could only be seen at that time through the mirror or something like that...

As for you exemple, there is generally something special about those characters who manage to desappear so easily (superhuman abilities/ninja/secret organisation members/alien/esper...). It would be awkward to have a normal school nurse who would appear with such a timing, give her warning and vanish all of the sudden. Why wouldn't she go to talk and help Yuzuki instead of staying one the shore?
My guess is that she can't instead don't want to, because of her condition (dead ).

Well, it was an interesting episode... Really panicked around the part where that woman called guys to rape her... Well, it didn't turn out well either way, did it, hahaha...
Ai finally seperated from Yuzuki and revived (Well, why did her soul even come back in the first place to allow this to happen...).

She must have killed Akie out of hurted pride I guess >_>. And she still wanted to make Akie's father suffer through her daughter. Since her first plan was to rape her (hopefully she failed >.<), she just decided to get ride of her =_='.

For Enma, Wannyudo explains at the begining of the ep that the festival allows a gate to open between hell and our world, so that way Enma may come back. But I didn't get everything and well, that was a bit too sudden and convenient to be plainly satisfying .

I don't think they went so far as to say he disappeared... He did write a novel, and there was a flashback(?) showing him working on the PC though...

I'm not so sure about that... The mirror thing seemed to be just some way to animate the scene...

True. But she has been shown to normally interact with students in the school. And since the river was heading to hell and Tsugumi has always been sensitive about that place, it's possible she wasn't (or didn't want) to go near...
I guess we won't be sure of anything until the anime decides to reveal info about her... /( -_-)\
Well, it's not like I have any attachment to this new Tsugumi, so...

Because Akie's father apparently told the police not to investigate the person that... can't remember quite clearly, but ran over(?) her father, so she hates Akie's father even more than the person who ran her father over...

I did noticed that. At first I thought that it was because a part of Enma may have remained in her, or may be she was just looking through Yuzuki eyes and it was just a reflection of her own gaze.
But it might as well been Yuzuki "evil (counter-)part" who is surfacing at that precise moment, due to the strong emotion she faces. I mean, since we discover in that episode that Yuzuki can see herself in the river connecting to hell, we could assume that a part of her is already in hell( what I call the "evil part"). It's also highly possible that those two "Yuzuki" are connected, and the glowing red eyes is just a proof that the one from hell is taking over the one we knew until now...
This time it seems like Yuzuki managed to calm down and didn't seek revenge for Akie "murder", but I wonder if we will see her snap at one point, somehow like Enma did when she destroyed her village... It would be interesting to see, for the least

Regarding Hell Boy, someone updates wikipedia almost monthly with more info on him but never gives a source. (And there is nothing else on the internet about it.) It really sounds like BS but there was that thing at ep 10 at the end of the race...
(Warning: The current entry, if true, it is insanely spoilerific... and stupid.)

Edit: The source might be 2ch... which would make this false.

This series is basically forcing me to re-watch the first two seasons which I COMPLETELY forgot about. Maybe this season just happens to be the most fun.

I've just re watched the 13th episode with english subtitles (which franckly are not that good...) anyway

Yuzuki called the woman on the edge of the river "Shibata-sensei" so it's indeed Tsugumi, and if she knows her name and if she used the suffix -sensei that means she knows her and that Tsugumi is over her is the social scale so I rewatch the episode 5 in which we see a nurse but not clearly her face, and she has the same (I dunno the word in english I'm sorry) but it's the butterfly on her ears the jewel...

so why the hell (^^) is Tsugumi doing there ! and I agree with the person who said "how many years have passed between season 2 and 3 !"
