I think it can, actually. It has performed a vertical take-off in Bird Mode, if I'm not mistaken.

I think its time us gundam fans move on , we don't wanna be stuck in the seed universe for too long now after all we had 100 episodes of it.

It was the most popular Gundam series because past series helped to establish a loyal Gundam base for Gundam SEED. That is why, however grotesque (I'm being subjective here) the series was, fans were willing to watch it.

Besides, like what Jeffrey said, the series had already departed the Gundam scene. It is both not profitable and simply outrageous (to fans).

Oh please you may not like the serie but Seed is still the most popular gundam show and it's not G00 (which is for me not a good gundam at all) which will change something.

Many fan are still hoping for a movie to come out.
