I dunno if there's even a comparison there... they're just completely different character types who happen to share pink wavy hair, which isn't much of a coincidence.

Besides, some people would consider that a downgrade. :P

I can't even consider comparing the two. Those two had totally different personalities. Though their are some similarities in personalities aside from that the physical features are only the hair that had the same color plus its long and wavy. The height..... almost the same himeji is petite to begin with but look at the front. I tell you the front will give away the answer.

Their only thing in common was the pink hair. Otherwise, they're entirely opposite. If anything, you might as well say that pink hair girls have their own wide spectrum.

I've seen pink like its the theme use on main girls. Well pink show the inner femininity or feminine side of the heroine even if she's acting tough plus pink adds to the cuteness that can't be resist.

btw I like the hairpin of himeji and the way it always change based on the theme and the event.

Spoiler for Episode 3:

Now that was a real blast. There wasn't a single minute that didn't keep me laughing. And after looking it up, I feel like it makes sense: this episode was directed by none other than Watanabe Shinichi.

I find it pretty amazing that I care so much for the interaction between these characters only three episodes in, even when minor ones are involved (I'm thinking of Shimizu and Kubo for this week). It's just too bad that I can't see the relationships ever going much further, but the humor shouldn't wear out either since we're only getting one cour. I'll just be all the more satisfied if the love letter issue is ever dealt with - whether it be Himeji's or Kubo's.

The production values won't skyrocket back to the first episode's, but I don't mind the use of recycled footage to that extent, especially if it helps in making the character design so consistent. I'm also loving the music by Nijine.

Actually i like that too its very subtle and gives the audience something extra to watch for. Sometimes its the little things in a character that draws an audience to them not just the over top actions or the dere moments.

It was a really... busy episode. Compared to the previous episodes, the tempo was a lot better and it didn't dwell on the same subject for an eternity...
And lots of strange moments that were unlike the gag sense of the previous episodes too, like the fountain with water coming out of the butt and references to a bunch of stuff, like LovePlus (Maybe I'll buy this one day... <--To make a girlfriend) and the strange animal (cat) from Tayutama.
And why the change, I wondered... The answer is apparently the director. Nabeshin, was it...

Can't care less about that Kuroko clone or gay though... Also, not enough narration from Kaiba...
The yandere was cute though. Still don't know why the twintails likes the protagonist so much though.

Next time is... アッーーーー！(the gay guy's turn?)

Thanks for mentioning Nabeshin. I watched the episode immediately.

Totally hilarious episode. Best Nabeshin episode I've seen since I happened on Puni Puni Poemi, which was one of the shows that convinced me anime was worth watching. This comic environment may be just what he needed, after what I thought was the disaster of The Wallflower. (I didn't realize until now that he directed Nerima Daikon Brothers, which I never saw.) Oonuma Shin let him do the storyboard as well as direct, and seems to have released his inner madness.
