They're probably going for the novels. I think we'll get 4-5 volumes of the novels in the 13 episode adaption.

And I got a feeling Kampfer Akane will put a bullet in Sakura's head if she was unrestrained.

Can't disagree here.... they almost filled these 2 episodes with 10 chapters of Kämpfer... at this rate i wonder if they'll have enough material for a second season + a lot of dialogue/scenes i would've loved to c are cut out. I hope this isn't the same with the remaining eps.

I can truly say that the only interest in this show for me is normal Akane. She cracked me up so many times in the duration of episode 2. "Please be gentle." "what do I have to do make it hard."

I found my fanservice show! Thanks Akane.

imo Shizuku is the best female character this season.

The second would be Mikako from Sora no Otoshimono. Yes, Mikako, not Icarus, not any of the main. You'll see what I mean.

Also, what does the source material say about using multiple weapons at once (eg. Gun+knife or Gun+magic)? After all, there's probably nothing stopping a Kampfer from carrying a different weapon to supplement her own weapon assignment.

So far, I'd say the character I like the most is Akane. Innuendo-making normal megane and foul-mouthed gun-toting redhead, pretty interesting difference.

Spoiler for ep2: Which is a shame in a way, since the way leading up to the Natsuru/Akane vs Shizuku battle was quite interesting IMHO... also, I strongly hope that Nishino Masumi's introduction was only delayed, and that she wasn't cut out of the script. Shizuku was as enjoyable as expected, though I kinda regret that 2 intimidation scenes have been either cut or significantly nerfed. Which makes her seem a trace more understatement/quiet than I'd picture her from the sources. At least her devious side was played out well, and out of all Kämpfers so far she certainly has the most elegant and refined battle style Soooo, on to the new parts. Oh, and I hope that my manga tankoubon 3 arrives soon...

Right, so no one knows why they are fighting, but they are fighting anyways. Haha... And etc... Like the ever-so-cold and random seiyuu jokes. Also, what is this DTB-level gap between transformations... Natsuru - Gender Akane (whose delusions are starting to cross the line of entertaining to...) - Hair and personality What'shername... The president - Part of her hair? If ep.1 was a 6/10, the this would be... Mmm... 6/10. With DTB airing on the same day, it might be time to start cutting down... margafred ლ(́◉◞౪◟ ◉ ლ ) Join Date: Jul 2007	Spoiler for Episode 2 of Kampfer: I don't read the manga,so i don't really know the pain that some of the manga readers here have suffered.Overall episode 2 was fine for me,and i kinda love the triangle situation between Akane,Natsuru and Sakura...but its just feel weird that the development between those 3 went abit too fast (Akane agreed to come to Natsuru's room and Sakura's boldness to confess her feelings for Natsuru...and i think all these happened in just within 2-3 days).I wish they can go slow on that coz a war of love and jealousy is just fun to watch. I just love both innocent and punk Akane in this episode...really can't get enough of her Talk about sexiness there unlike the first episode's eye catch,this one really hits me hard on the nose. And i wonder if Akane actually realized this... Spoiler for image: And i wonder if Natsuru realized that he actually did that to Akane...poor Akane Gonna need moar of ah ah ah ah ah Akane And the way the school separated the male and female buildings,even with those freaking alarm system....issit the males and females are in some kind of cold war or something? New Kampfer Shizuku seems to be a badass,and charming too...but nothing beats Akane And to think that she too "fall" for Natsuru after their first battle,Natsuru's charm must be some kind of hax.
