Akame and Leona are still alive. Though ,Leona was close one time.(ch 20 if i recall right). Then again Akame seem to be something similar as well .Now that i think about it the promise he made with Akame is something that would let her stay alive other that she had the name in the title. I mean AKame become one of the bigger reason for him to survive if she die .....he lost the promise he made with her

If ch 26(i think) it's something to go with she was open because tatsumi and she still feel the enemy that send them away>_> Really at time people just say thing without think like the whole titanic pairing. I think the main reason I like Esdese when compared to say Seiryuu is that Esdese makes no excuses for her behavior. She knows she's an evil sadist, she doesn't delude herself into thinking she's someone on the side of justice like Seiryuu believes. Also like Soji said, Esdese is never open, one second she was blushing at Tatsumi in chapter 25 and the next second she had used her weapon to cut the monsters sneaking up on her to pieces. It's not just her ice Teigu that you have to worry about. Well not to mention how innocent her love for Tatsumi is, I mean the drawings in her notebook in chapter 26 just about killed me.

Also you have to forgive people Soji, not everyone has glanced through the raws to see the flow of the story. A lot of them are having fun speculating.

Tatsumi at the moment wouldn't be able to kill Esdese because the skill and power difference is too great. He doesn't even know how Esdese is capable of. But it's sure as hell he'd be finished without putting a fight if he recklessly assault her.

But I think that even without read the raw you know pretty well that something like that is impossible.I mean Tatsumi know full well how the empire is and h like Night Raider no to mention that we know how Akame is as well. That's why I said like this after read that post. If you read all the ch out in english until now you know that this is impossible.
About Esdes that's the reason why I say she cant be killed so easy she show us that she can be take on suprise. Even the plan they have to use Marusame curse cant make them to win again her. The only way is if some one stop her (somehow) for a few second otherwise Akame go frozen before she can hit her with Murasame.
But I do agree with what you say about Esdes that she don't make excuse about what she do.About the part of ch 26 that you say (the one with the notebook) I agree was cute but that one make me think even more that her love is between innocent love+ fan girl love.XDThough will be funny to see how ch 27 play out.

Bors continues to constantly defy my expectations of him. Reasonable figure if not somewhat timid despite being built like a brickhouse and looking like someone out out of a horror movie? Has an awesome Teigu? Can cook? is happy married for 6 years? Hard not to like the guy.

Seryu has some upgrades done her since the last time we saw her, and she no less scary in this battle either. Surprising Stylish is apparently the White Mage" of the squad. Well, if you consider replacing/implanting parts of your body weapon al'a Seyru with weapons "healing". Ran's flying Teigu looked incredible useful, he's may be a better sniper than Mein.

Wave and Kurome were pretty much the only ones who's Teigu we didn't see. Gotta laugh at his failed attempt impress her with an enemy she could handle herself. Better try a different approach there friend.

Esdese continues to be strangely adorable around Tatsumi. She has no idea how to go about her feelings does she? Thankfully for his sake her subordinates convinced her to take the collar off. Loved when she held his hand like they on a first date or something. She should seriously consider advice from Bors, but then again it's far more entertaining to do this "relationship" herself. Good luck to Tatsumi to persuade her to switch, frankly his chances getting laid instead are much more higher.

Do wonder what Akame plans to do now about Tatsumi's capture. While rescue probably isn't possibility they can't just leave him there either. Especially when they entirely sure he will stay safe for long.

I can't see the other stay alive.
Also Tatsumi is right to try ..i mean he have the chance why don't try but is naive if he really think he can make her switch side.
Also i like that one of the night raid say* I hope you don't say that we go to save Tatsumi*or something along this line.And explain why....though I feel sorry here for Akame seem to me worry a big time even if she cant really do much this time.(then again i know from the raw what happen next).
