Ep 01

Wait, wait, wait...so the pig is voiced by the same VA who did Serara from Log Horizon?

For some reason that strikes me as excellent voice casting!

(ahem)

So...on to the ep itself....

It's kinda hard for me to get a clear img of the series - at the moment it seemed extremely "only okay"; for me the only thing half interesting was the pig. :\

Like Kaoru Chujo, though, it may be that this series might not be my thing, for whatever reasons. Well, I may give it another ep, at least.

Hawk's voice as that of a female i kinda weird, while reading the manga i don't see Hawk as a female. still funny tho, i'm going to like this series i wonder where it's going to go arc wise.

This sucks, first Funi and CR kill fansub scene and then show is licenced by Netflix-cancer which won't air show till they dub it. Everyone tought anime will be licenced by CR due to manga being there already and Aniplex.
Good that I'm reading the manga.

Good that I'm reading the manga.

Netflix might eventually delay simulcast it, and another company may still pick it up as well. We will have to see. But it's a bit of a shame in the meantime.

Actually, rethinking this... getting it later may not be THAT bad... but I'm confused as to why Crunchyroll and Funimation didn't try to get it...

Crunchyroll has the manga...

Whatever the case is with simulcast, I am mildly annoyed with animators being totally unable play the same trick as Shaft did with Nisekoi's OP. (silhouettes instead of actually revealing the girls)

And totally annoyed with Yuuki Kaji. I won't be able to understand why he got in.

...Ahem. The episode itself is nice, and I totally didn't expect Kate's VA to give her voice to Hawk. Quite a surprise. And it counters Yuuki Kaji, thankfully.

Yeah, the discussion for this show is probably going to be stifled by how it's being handled. May just have to watch the RAWs and get by like that.

Not a bad start for the series. Certainly a reckless Princess there going around trying to find these insanely powerful people. But had some luck after all in finding Meliodas.

Will be fun to follow even with the silly situation going on with Netflix.

hm, for the 01 shows so far this season.
I think this is the first one that actually has a BGM. The rest have been rather silent.

The premise is pretty standard shonen. The bgm really carried the episode for it.
The MC's sword is neat. I could do without the pig entirely.

I was expecting a totally different show though.
What manga had a similar title. It had a 7 sins motif as well, and it was rather more serious and dark, and was a revenge story dealing with knights and such as well.

I wasn't going to watch this but it wasn't bad. Kinda wondering about some of the subs though "Mustache Cat Mountain"

MC is an annoying kid, I totally get why he got it...

That was from a horribly tl'd version. There is another version available that not only makes more sense as a whole, but also makes the story more interesting...yes, the moustache cat mountain version was that bad.

Anyway, after reading the more normal subs I am finding the series a bit more interesting.

Still am kinda surprised why funi or cr have not picked this one up, though. Hmm.

Well, let's see what next ep brings. ^^

Hawk the pig was the best thing about this episode. Not a bad show but nothing really stands out either, but I'll keep watching.

Wow, A-1 really put a lot of effort into this. I don't think it's realistically possible to adapt the manga visually any better, AND it's 24 episodes.

It looks like we're jumping right into the fray starting from the next episode so it should be some non stop over the top action from now on.

I love Kate's voice in this. I just hope that pacing is done well. Because the premise is golden.
