If he had activated it on the other hand that strike would have been lethal - that i at least my understanding of the scene and that people say 'its gotta be activated to work'.

Episode 12:
That was a bit predictable imo. It's nice to see Shinoa's background get some slight insight though especially regarding her sister. I suppose the war will continue later on as the nobles and the prominent vampires (including Mika) escaped. Poor Yu but he did survive so that's good to see. Hope he can hold that anger of his back in the future. I think for this season, I liked the second half better than the first half.

And finally one of the worst adaptations this season is over, this one was painfully to watch seriously.
Terrible animation and QUALITY all over the place, boring and cliché characters, terrible world building and the only good thing about this was Shinoa. Kagami Takaya must feel ashamed of having created this terrible manga/LN, one of the worst things I've seen in the last few years. |

Wow...that last episode. It's like someone during production went "oh crap we've got one ep left....end the fight! Just end the fight, we need epilogue now!" And yet somehow this apparently is going to get a second season if that last image of the ep is to be interpreted that way.
At least you had Shinoa acting cute which was about the highlight of the episode to me. Of course she's falling for Yu like everyone else in the show is. Should be a great romantic showdown with Shinoa, Mika, and Mitsuba. In the end it's over for now. The only thing I can say at this point is that becoming a vampire has made Mika a moron. In the end getting pissed at whatever was or wasn't done to Yu doesn't matter. Yu himself would gladly volunteer for it in order to wipe out the vampires. Something that they basically need to do since all that cursed gear equipment can't match them up against the nobles. Heck I suspect they cut out the fight because they also had no way to convincingly force the vampires to actually need to retreat. I'll say this was probably the more disappointing of shows this season. It started off really well and had good intensity. But then it just got bogged down with cliches, too much school stuff, and then even the action portions were kind of iffy later in the show. Oh well, was an interesting ride.

The series was ok I guess, I enjoy the manga a lot better though. Animation was pretty decent, characters were decent as well (In b4 sudden character growth), can't say too much for story since it hasn't delved that much into the plot yet. Only thing I hated is when Seraph mode Yuu started attacking Crowley. They depowered Seraph mode Yuu (in Manga he ended fight with one slash, and he wasn't aiming for the vampires)

Human experimentation at its worst.
Guess that's the price for fighting vampires. Yu woke up and looks fine after his beast-out. Well... at least Mika is alive & there's hope. 2nd season should open up new possibilities. We'll have to wait until October for it to start.

I'm quite pleased with how this cour ended tbh. Overall I guess I started to get a little attached to Shinoa's team. More importantly though, I'm dying to know who Bathory's working with and know more about the guy in general. To me at least, he's like the most interesting and entertaining character on the vampire side and I'm hoping that when and if(we'd better...) learn more about the vamps, it'll be through him. Dying to know who's his human partner. I wonder if it's Guren...

Why doesn't anyone try to convince Yu that Mika is dead and that a vampire's merely riding his corpse? Or something like that. Because "rescuing" Mika doesn't sound practical at all right now, what with him being a blood sucking vampire and all.

Also, I'm really glad they aren't doing that. I'm only watching this series for the Yu/Mika dynamic. I don't care about the humans or the vampires at all really. I'm only interested in those two and how their relationship will go from here. Also, Mika doesn't suck blood since he abstains from human blood, and I'd hardly put him in the same category as the rest of them. He's much more interesting.

Ah shit, you're right.... (lol I just came back after surveying the convention, so I didn't actually realize I got it wrong...) Well I'll delete it now...
Do you think they would have an antidote for vampires? I haven't watched too much vampires, but with just two bite holes, it's impossible to stop the bleeding? Quote:
That means Shinomiya is part of the Demon Squad... so that's why he's not scared of anything.

The thing is, Yu knows that Mika is a vampire, he knows that he might be a friend or a foe, but he doesn't care. Mika is family to him and that's all there is to it. He's just happy he's alive. He's lived with survivor's guilt for 8 years, and even though things are not in the best situation, he'd rather Mika be alive and a possible enemy, then dead and thinking that it was his fault.

I agree that should be the path they are going. Mika is dead, he is a blood sucking zombie. Should be focusing on putting a bullet...arrow...sword...whatever...into his head not trying to save him or being happy he's 'alive' because...I really don't think he is. Be nice if someone noted the fact that Mika tried to kidnap him.
