It had/has a strange beginning and surprising or extreme end. It can have many torrents, or certain amount of torrents.

I happen to know that "Alchemy" is a word originating in arabic and that "homunculus" originates from Latin. And they cause a lot of distress, being the antagonists of the show so my guess is this:
http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?t=83971

I haven't yet seen Brotherhood (please don't spoil it for me) so i don't know about the other two lines.

^Amalgamation also means a process of combining or uniting multiple entities into one so I thought of that too .. But the other two lines didn't really match so I didn't bother about posting it. If you are correct .. well, I'll be damned.

Leaves people confused. The egg = ellipse top plus circle bottom.
Dunno how it could be finite yet infinite...
Also don;t think it's arabic =/

Incorrect

Pay attention to the pronouns used...

Haak's reasoning has been the most adherent to my thinking when I made the riddle, but he's still got a ways to go as well.

Oh and regarding the first riddle, would it be possible to tell us whether the math is multi-step or just one step(i.e. x minus y divided by z all to the nth power vs. inverse of x or x times y or x to the yth power)? Or would that give too much away?

I'll try to guess again... Azureus?
Azure = Arabic word
-us = Latin root
Perhaps being a torrent program it was quite eccentric when it started, and now that the name changed to Vuze, it has an even end to that title. It's finite and infinite with the number of things you can torrent, and as a program it must of had its share of problems to cause distress.
I'll just go with the biggest thread for now:
http://forums.animesuki.com/showthre...hlight=azureus

And back up guesses:
http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?t=98325
Harem is an Arabic word, and I'm assuming the fancy word after is Latin. Harems usually cause distress and have infinite yet finite number of girls.
http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?t=58743
Assassin is an Arabic word, and creed could have had Latin origins... and that's about it.

I'm probably missing the point though, since I'm not sure if the "I" pronoun is indicating a person or thing.

Here's what I think. It certainly has a strange beginning. It could be invincible and vulnerable at the same time. I don't know about Arabic origin but it certainly has a latin name.

http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?t=26643

Another one I guessed.
Well I feel ignorant.

Take the last line literally
So taking "Who am I?" literally it means we're searching for a forum member, right? Well, glad to know then b/c I'm tired of searching for anything series related.

It could also be a character thread, or social group of a character I'd think.
