Well, kind of a no-brainer. There will be 9 volumes as of June of this year, not counting the Megumin spin-off series, and the anime has only gone through two of them. That and the novels have apparently been selling like gangbusters since the anime started, so yeah. No-brainer.
Well, lots of good stuff that should be in the second season. Including, if I remember correctly, the series' best secondary character.

Did not disappoint. And we actually got a bit of what I talked about right before it aired (I had no idea at all this would happen). I get the feeling this might be the best way for them to fight, and I'm sure Megumin will love getting to climb to new heights of pleasu... destruction. Force Aqua to focus her growth entirely on healing and magic capacity, and we'll have a perfect backup battery for our little loli-bomb. Just glad he didn't go for the MOST effective method. Thin skin near the heart indeed. Wouldn't work with Aqua, there's a lot of meat above her heart so it'd be no better than the neck, but with Megumin there'd be very little between his hand and her heart. Picture that image for a minute: the statue of the heroes who defeated the demon king might just be a guy grabbing two girls' breasts while the clearly underage one raises a staff to the sky.

A nice way to end the first season. Yay season 2
 .But yeah a lot of things playing out as expected. Drain Touch being the new skill that was crucial for dealing with Destroyer. But will admit I kind of forgot about the power source being teleported off. Heck of a solid way to leave it off though.

People saying that Kazuma could use drain touch to transfer magic from Aqua to Megumin were dead on. And it seems like giving Megumin a full mana bar didn't even tire Aqua out, though it certain seemed to make her uncomfortable. There probably aren't many situations that would call for explosion to be used twice, while giving several minutes for Kazuma to transfer the mana though.
Meguimin acting like a shy maiden and Aqua just being a little creeped out is business as usual. Darkness isn't her real name huh? I guess that makes sense. As a crusader though, why would she call herself darkness? Wiz being able to use Explosion, and without collapsing was kind of surprising. Though it seems like it did take a lot even out of her, considering she had to drain Kazuma to get enough to teleport. Though I wouldn't have thought that she'd get that much from draining Kazuma. I was thinking of reading the novels after this, but now I'm wondering if I should wait for season 2. Though I'd say that it's at least 6 months away, if not a year or more... |

Woohoo! 2nd Series announcement is great news, especially considering this was only 10 episodes. I'm hoping that the upcoming series will have 13 episodes or maybe even a 25 episode run.
Strange that Chris was so prominent in the guild hall meeting, but she was nowhere to be found when Destroyer arrived. As for Kazuma's luck blowing up that mansion, I'm going to bet that the noble or whoever that lives there is a bad/evil person. I'm wondering if it was even one of the Demon King's top 8 generals. Well, we'll find out in the 2nd series. It's understandable that Megumin was so scared. She is only 13 or so, after all. Darkness being rich and a noble, as Dustiness Ford Lalatina, was not a surprise. The fact that her family is in charge of the whole area was the big surprise. I'm curious why her parents allow her to do something so dangerous, especially considering her tendencies to have pain inflicted upon her. I'm surprised the guild did not give out a reward for the destruction of The Destroyer. Isn't that one of the top things to defeat in the world? What the heck is Kyouya doing? He seems like he is on an archaeological dig. Also, the towns people are over-estimating him. I don't think he would have been able to defeat The Destroyer on his own. Maybe, if he had help.

For a Ancient Super Weapon, Destroyer went down rather quickly. But I guess it took a goddesses to take out it's barrier.
The rally episode are always great, and this one no different. We learned something about Darkness, got to see some cool magic, and learned that incompetence was this world problem since antiquity. Uh, Kazuma I don't think she wants to suck what you think she wants... and there it goes. Ouch. Just this once his luck had to file. Such is life when you are Kazuma. Second season! The best possible way they could end this episode! |
