I was just covering all the bases. However the fact that One Piece doesn't have an ED already say something about how much time they're already taking up and dragging it out. And as said by others, 6~8 mins long OP+intro+review... lol... longest I've ever seen. (in certain episodes) Most other Anime's OP only takes up to 2 mins Tops and review 1 min tops. Also, you did not count in the "dragging" which others states later after our posts. Those itself makes the anime where you could do things in 5 mins into 20+ mins long. So no... actual anime plot progression is less than 10 mins each episode. Which the above result in them adding in Fillers now too, because they couldn't drag it out even longer. Else it would be as I said, 5 mins of "actual anime"... lol Plus, think what it'll be like if they actually added in ED like all other anime out there... |

I had a feeling Sanji was going to show up, and he did. That was an awesome entrance, but the music just did not feel right. It seems like the staff for the show does not even care anymore. It's like, they are just going through the motions.

World Government history lesson.
Finally, Giolla defeated hands down. I'm so glad they put an end to her weird art. She was the most annoying character ever. And there they go again... from one trouble to the next.. Doflamingo pulled a fast one on Straw Hats. Never trust a guy like that! D block battle continues. Cavendish really likes the attention.. Law was impressive. Sanji to the rescue! Good episode.

i'm sure they care, but there is clearly preferential treatment given to certain episodes. considering this one was shorter than usual (long intro) and the animation was particularly lackluster, i'm assuming this was one of those episodes they just went through the motions on like you said. but i'm sure good ones will be coming where they put more effort into the edit and animations. i dont see how the studio can keep the highest quality when there's no down time

In Japan watching this on sundays.
FINALLY all caught up with the story. Meh, mixed feeling. Dressrosa on it's own is kinda bloated (interesting sure but meh kinda drawn out) but watching Doflamingo is just too much fun (dudes so gangsta...LITERALLY). Still though thank god I can get Jump and read the junk because this one chapter a week deal is sooooooooooo slow. Really like Rikiya Koyama as the toy soldier tho and as annoying as Bartolomeo is, Shotarow Morikubo makes him fairly funny. |

Wow, after the latest episode, I could only feel rage. Drag queen Doflamingo is the most evil bastard in One Piece. He really needs to die in the most horrific way possible, but considering how the Straw Hat's opponents usually end up surviving, I don't think that will happen. However, maybe one of the 4 emperors will kill him. While they are at it, maybe they can also get rid of the other unforgivable characters, Akainu and Blackbeard (Marshall D. Teach).
Edit: Wait, they mention that with Monet coming, things started to change. However, during the how flashback scene, Monet was nowhere to be found. Are they even going to elaborate on what she did, or did they just throw in her name to emphasize her influence?

That Bartolomeo is just too emotional..
Dressrosa's past finally revealed! Tin soldier (Rebecca's dad) told the story. Of course Doflamingo had to ruin 800 years without wars.. He ruined the country through calculated threats/demands/manipulation. That bastard so deserves to die! He is pure evil.

For a big revelation, this episode was kind of weak. I'm hoping that tin soldier's forgotten memories will make it more interesting, but what's up with this story he's supposedly telling having absolutely nothing to do with him or Rebecca?
And then it ended in such a weird spot. "Where's Zoro? Oh there he is. Hey Zoro! Kin'emon!" TO BE CONTINUED... Okayyy... see, if they wanted to end the episode with impact they should have just stopped 30 seconds earlier, like right here: I mean to my knowledge that's the first time Robin has ever made a face anything like that. It's terrifying. |

I'm a little curious why the Toy Soldier was not shown at all during the flashback. He knows he is Rebecca's father, yet there were no indications of it in the story. However, the revelation that Violet is the princess of the kingdom is quite something. If Sanji really catches her heart, he can end up as royalty someday. I actually like that for him.
As for Doflamingo, he is lowest scum of all scum in One Piece, yet I'm sure there are real people who will idolize him. I know most named characters who are bad guys do not die in this series, but he is one that actually deserves it (and Akainu).
