well that episode created more questions than answers
Quote:
she is obligated to fulfill her previous Selector's wish maybe she has already achieved that but she became a Selector again, so she has another wish unrelated to that.. maybe. perhaps she's trying to have her old Selector switch bodies with her again

argh, such a tease in episode 05
I was read to see Chiyori lose a 3rd time and get destroyed. But Ruko took over. Laughed @ level5. OP. Fumio's story was interesting. I too think she wants to bring her former selector back. No idea what they're gonna do with this whole black girl/white girl thing. Its being very Chobits right now.

Very entertaining episode 5. Good to see the Ruu/Iona team finally get to kick some butt, and it was just as fun to watch as I thought it would be. Great pep-talk from Iona to Ruu. I know that Hitoe and Yuzuki mean well, but honestly, I'm inclined to see things more from Iona's perspective. If Ruu wants to save anybody, she needs to stop being such a shrinking violet and actually get out there and accomplish some things. And like it or not, Ruu, your excellent skill at WIXOSS is one of your chief assets here.

I'm glad Ruu is finally battling. I'm agreeing with Ikna that moping won't do anything. |

Honestly, I can believe how easily and frail the third episode spiraled into chaos everywhere. In one hand, Iona's not happy that her Ruko is getting mislead not to do battles, on the other hand, Ruko will battle but only for the sake of meeting Tama again. And, there's Mayu and her hatred of the outside world, because I feel she doesn't want to lose Tama like, maybe, losing another friend in the past. Episode 03, freeze frames at minute 10:23. The frame portrays three shadows: at the center the silouhette belongs to Mayu; at Mayu's right hand, theres' Tama; and at Mayu's left hand there's as of yet an unidentified girl. From the looks of those outlines, Tama and the other girl are holding something. Could it be WIXOSS cards, maybe? |

So Fumio's wish is to live as a novelist huh? Overall a good buildup episode but wow, Akira just never gives up..
I hope she gets beat pretty badly next time. Ulith and her plan is in motion now though and it doesn't look pretty so far. I just hope Ruko knows what she's doing because there are a lot of risks this time.

hm, 06 was interesting.
I feel that the Iona in the card now is actually the girl in white, but got corrupted, so now she's a grey. Ulith seems to be the full black one. Aki-lucky is just bonkers now lol. Freaking Hitoe always causing trouble. The whole wish thing seems to have been thrown out the window, and its just the mystery of the system now. Like characters are following their motives, but the whole wish aspect seems to have been almost entirely forgotten. Granted, even last season, the whole wish thing was a small part in the grand scheme of things. Like even though Hitoe got a new LIRG, no idea why that suddenly reverses her wish penalty.

Ulith!Iona and Aki-Lucky is such a great, great villain combo. Just so much delicious fun. They really make me think vividly of a great super-villain combo in comic books, lol.
Also good to see Ruu and actual!Iona grow closer together, with Ruu showing a lot of concern over Iona. Who will emerge victorious in this battle between the yuri pairs of Ulith/Akira and Ruu/Iona?! And poor Tama will likely be caught in the middle of it next episode. On the whole, Episode 6 was just marvelous, with lots of interesting dialogue and reveals.

Ruko: If we became friends, would Iona-san open up to us more?
S-Social Link Go? Seriously, though...do the police not exist in this world? Do people not have the common sense to run away from somebody they know is crazy when they are about to break down? Still, I loved seeing the context behind Futase's descent to madness. It was very well done and very chilling. So was Akira's own madness (Seriously...Girl, why you ackin' so cray-cray?).

As for running away, I think that Hitoe didn't want to risk Akira going after Ruko.

while the main focus of the EP was to introduce the whole white and black girl, we did get some highlight again on the wishes, specifically their effects on the LRIGs. it was implied subtly last season, but now we can see that the eternal girls are indeed compelled to complete the wishes. its not just easy going life for them now, they have to fulfill the wish even if it leads them back to being an LRIG like futase's situation. also iona really does fit the whole black girl more so than ulith. while ulith is a more malicious, she hasnt really shown anything close to envy as the black girl should, nor does she seem to have actual hate for other people, just contempt at best. iona as we know, doesnt really enjoy things and she does have an "emptiness" feel, like she has no real interest, which did lead her to become an LRIG for the heck of it. meanwhile, she is starting to show some envy, in particular how ruko would listen and have more fun with her friends. and while iona was sort of popular, there isnt really any indication that anyone liked her, and we all know how none of the characters really did, except for maybe ruko. also, if we look at it a bit more, she's got a clear reason now to envy tama, who's likely the white girl, for being more loved than her, especially by ruko. I bet that its gonna be this fight, if its ulith/tama versus ruko/iona, that will make it clear.
