Hey guys does anyone know when chapter 280 is gonna be released and did it occur to you guys that the revived Kei might actually be Kei Kishimoto or Kei's younger brother instead of him being the Kei we want. I m just thinking Gantz would let Kei be revived so easily or it really might be his asshat self

1. Katou said "Kei-chan... Kurono Kei, revive him please." Kuruno = Surname, Kurono Kei does not equal Kishimoto Kei

2. the revived person has black hair, Kishimoto's hair was light colored in the manga

3. Kurono's lil bro was never entered into Gantz's memory bank and in addition is named Akira.

4. everyone looking at the person being teleported in is not bewildered... Reika looks very relieved and happy not... "who the f*** is this b*tch?"

so i just got caught up on gantz. well, not entirely, i have like ... the better part of a book left, but mostly caught up.


i'm slightly confused, so maybe someone wants to help fill me in.

the whole idea with the gantz game is you kill shit. get points. redeem those points for fabulous prizes. great.

i have two problems with the progression of the story though.

1. Can kurono not count?
at the end of his last mission he needed 22 points to win the game. at the end of the game he got 135. if my math serves me right. that put him over 200 points.
they revived sakurai, tae, and katou. then he used his points to leav the game good. grand. but now katou is playing the game to revive kurono insead of his lady friend who died so long ago i dont remember her name. i know its also kei. but whatever. whenot rn other players revived someone, it took their exces points and rolled them over. why didnt he just revive her, then use his remining points to quit the game?

what a retard.

2. WTF is with the memory erasing. I understand erasing all memory of Gantz. thats fine. so if he didnt remember that kei girl or...anyone he met while IN the gantz game, that's cool. but not remembering ANYTHING over a 6 month period? thats gotta suckkkkk. i didnt like that bit i think it would been better i think if he remembered tae, considering he met her on circumstances outside of the game. but whatever. i dunno.

ch280's revelation of a time limit on humanity sets up what looks to be the final or what looks to be the last arc....

also that nishi always did know more than what he led on.. tho its odd that he was still working toward freedom at the beginning of the manga... maybe an "ignorance is bliss" kind of mentality like Cypher had in the Matrix

Kurono's last memory is right before he was freed so he's the developed character alot of us hoped he would be

Welcome back Kurono it has been FAR too long. Damn its good to see him. YOu know i don't think it will end soon as I don't think he will end without Kurono reviving Sei and Kei (girl) If you think about it; this whole arc was mainly to get enough points to bring Kei back. Now there are so many things they need to do and explain. i would be surprised if it ended anytime soon.

Seeing as how many boundaries of the Gantz missions are being taken off (ex. Gantz players and the aliens can now be seen by everyone), I was thinking of Katastrophe as a world with aliens --> causes destruction to the 'Old World'

When that dude mentioned an impending nuclear war, I was thinking that perhaps the Gantz team would end up fighting other humans rather than aliens in order to save the world. It'd be an interesting turn of events and pretty ironic to know that humanity is its own worse enemy.

What a load of rubbish. Why would Nishi reveal that the world is going to end in 7 days just now? Seems a bit late to warn them when they all could be investigating to what is going on although I think he has been by himself, if not it would not fit his character.

One way I could see this going is perhaps an alien invasion and the idea behind Gantz was to train warriors to a decent level to fight them off.

The dooms day countdown explains a lot on why gantz doesn't care about the public seeing them. But it makes the death of Kei rather ironic and hypocritical since she was killed not too long ago just for seeing them.
