I might expect that the choice of games will be from games that sony either developed or published themselves... Also i would probably think that Sony would offer up PSN games for the PS3 and not full PS3 games... I mean more than likely i would expect them to offer up games that would not hurt themselves all that much... but still, there are some older games that may still be fun to play, so who knows

Well i would give sony some benefit of the doubt... they would have to be pretty stupid to think gamers will except crap as an apology

i would expect them to offer up games that are old but good. Namely games that WERE fairly popular and highly rated when they came up, but games that are far enough past their prime that sony probably would not really expect much sales from them anyway now. Take for instance indie titles like flow and flower... well regarded back when they came out, but after a couple of years have dropped off the radar. Anyone who did not get the games when they were new might still enjoy them, but would probably rather spend their money on other games... basically, cheap but fun... frankly, i think as long as the free games are enjoyable, gamers will be pleased for the most part not really thinking about how much it actually costs sony; i know i will

Offering free video games is a pretty weak consolation considering that the big concern here is credit card identity theft. If I was a PSN user, it'd honestly be that which would have me far more concerned than not having on line play for about a month.

What exactly do you expect sony to do for consolation?... they should already be working on making their systems more secure and figuring out how to prevent this from happening again. Not to mention that if you did end up having your credit card into stolen there might be ground to sue sony for not doing everything they could to prevent the theft (i think i recall atleast one law firm already planning a class action lawsuit despite no confirm theft as such data)... really, beyond making sure this doesn't happen again what else should they do as an apology?

people are greedy....Free games are good enough as long as the games the games they offer are good.

But people want more.....Seriously what more could people possibly want from Sony after this?

Sony can't exactly offer everyone a free 3D TV.

Even as one of the people who believe Sony needed to pay a price in exchange for repairing trust, I know there is a limit they can't cross. Free games is a big deal, considering the shear quantity of users. They can't bankrupt themselves over this.

Anonymous does have websites to help support them, mainly by keeping members in contact with eachother. In particular there is AnonOps who i think handles their IRC network... in the comments in the above link there's apparently a link to a site that lists a bunch of members(usernames) and their IP addresses

Read a book.
Exercise.
Get a job if you don't already have one.
Hang out with your girlfriend a bit more if you have one.
Take up an old talent you may have neglected over the years.
Catch up on Tv shows
Catch up more with your friends.
Go back to any games you may still have yet to beat.
Go see some movies.
Watch some Anime
Read some Manga
Try to meet new people.

Make the most of the downtime you have instead of eagerly awaiting for the PSN servers to come back up.

Yea, just downloaded the 3.61 update but...couldn't get to change my password and stuff. I believe America and Europe get to do that first while Asians like me (living in Singapore here) gotta wait a bit more? Do correct me if I'm wrong. ^_^

Ha, I just sold my PS3...would there be a disadvantage to not changing my PSN password? o.o

If so, I believe I could work it out with Sony via the phone. I hope. :-o

I think I will get another PS3 in the future, but I'm in no rush to get a new one later this year. I might get one in 2012 after price drops on the different models. I hardly played it, and I decided I wanted to try the XBox 360 now that they are reliable (the new XBox 360 "slims").
