Spoiler for Vivid Ch. 19 Spoiler Text - All The Dialog Edition:

Now go find the dialog that matches the image Demi posted and you'll be able to figure out who it is

I guess I'll start with the Summary. If you notice something weird, give a shout.

Ah, I figured that page would be something imaginary. Kaijo can attest to this

Not quite imaginary I figure, but more just Shante going bonkers offensively just before getting taken down by the others. And I wonder what that means about her character - I imagine it's a case of "I'm not going to simply roll over and let you win, I respect you as our holy figure but that means I can't job it so I'm going to do my utmost" perhaps. I doubt Schach and Carim would let someone actually bloodthirsty even be eligible for the tournament, and this isn't that kind of story anyway.

There will probably be giant wibbly-eyed tears from Shante after she realizes she might have gone a little overboard without meaning to - but it'll be a friendship point between them, "hey you're really awesome, I guess I still have stuff to learn, let's be friends" from Vivio after getting slammed like that. Hey, gotta get the girlposse together somehow, right? And Befriending works both ways, either the served or the server...

...you all know you're going to be sniffling at any scene with Signum in it from now on, don't you.

The impression I got from reading some of the dialogue is that Shante really really hates losing... even if it is against the head of your religion.

It's kind of like that "Courage Wolf" poster I saw on /fit/ a few days ago.

'Climb up a mountain, and punch god in the face'

Note: No never mind, i was reading some of the lines randomly out of context. She doesn't hate losing.

...so the cute nun is actually a blood knight?

now I really like this girl. Fix the blasphemy part and she would make a great Sister of Battle Of course if she is going to actually face the title character there's no way she would win, but I hope that she would at least make it a pyrrhic one for Vivo

And Nove-sensei kickboxes into high gear. Whoo-hoo.

Anyway, Tortoise Shell Bind is something of a overused bind maneuver in anime/H series, and is known to be super effective against the fairer sex to the point of ludicrousness...and with some side effects to boot.

Otto was always capable of this, though -it is, after all, a binding spell-, just that she probably got more, should I say, 'creative' with her methods after receiving sufficient re-education in the "custom preferences" of otakus worldwide for the creation of ViVid. Which, of course, means that I don't see this as a welcome change - damn fanservice.

Nah, I just compensate with twice the rage any time Cypha appears or is mentioned.

Surprisingly, it's not that hard.

...so apparently Belkan Nuns studies bondage as part of their curriculum? What in the name of the Sankt Kaiser inspired the mangaka of such? I doubt Japanese Mikos were trained in such acts?
Spoiler for Someone took this parody waaay to seriously:

There's a reason why people are tied up using those methods during bondage play. It's because they, ya know, work. Just because we're more familiar with them from sexual fetishes doesn't mean they aren't legitimate ways to restrain some one.

While you have a point, Raiser, we are dealing with magical binds, not rope, so simple wrist and ankle binds would do it. Perhaps wrap the body, pinning arms to the side would do, to. :P

But yes, apparently we get bondage of an underage nun. Nope, not aiming for a trifecta of porn fetishes here, no sirree!

We already had the clothing damage; which fetish will we get for our fanservice next?

It's not like the mere existance of magical retraints wasn't enough to stimulate the imaginations of bondage fetishists in the first place (not to mention doujinshi artists)

Does "teasing the slavering reader as they drool for more" ring a bell to you?

In Starcraft we have Zerg Creep, in games we have Power Creep; and by Creepy coincidence -and in no way is this a pun, in fanservice we have Porno Creep...

...And that, it seems, is the way things work - everything falling to the next most convenient vice

The chinese group took an unusually long time to scanlate Vivid 18. But they finally did it. The interesting thing is that no one is realistically expecting the kids (Vivio, Corona, Rio and Einhart) to do better than entering the Mid-Childa world-level tornament, including the kids themselves.
Oh, and Mid-Childa is apparently divided into 17 administrative districts. From which 20 representatives will be selected (where do the other 3 come from?) These plus last year's City Tornament Champion will take part in the City Tornament. The winner will be Mid-Childa's representative in the World Championship Tornament.

Not all districts have same population (I bet Kranagan can realistically field four), previous year champion as free slot, etc, etc...

If it goes by general sports rules, some districts get more than one representative. In other situations where the games are held in host cities, they have the advantage of an invitational slot for another competitor/city representative.

Plus there's the need to consider whether or not Belka SAR is considered within those 17, or among the extra 3.

Great... People are now running around thinking Shante is a blood knight...

Guys, I made a mistake, I accidentally put the dialogue in another file that had other japanese stuff that I had meant to read in the future.

so the two got mixed up. That's why I was under impression that Shante was someone who 'really really' hated losing.

Additional info from Corona's character file, she's known Vivio since First Grade.
