....Why is this battle so boring? Is it because of Larcade or Sting is generally a boring character?

Because Sting is most likely going to lose just to hype Larcade even more.

Well, Sting has lasted for one whole chapter without going down or any Fairy Tail member butting in to steal his glory. Perhaps he has a chance to win after all?

Both Hello and Cherish beat a Spring an without any real assist from a Fairy Tail member so...

I don't think Rakheid (Larcade) is going to lose though, but still...

I guess "Hello" is Jellal and "Cherish" is Sherria. It's true Sherria was the one who truly owned the DiMaria fight in the end, yet Wendy still provided support with her defensive barrier. But that didn't bother me, because Sherria didn't get her thunder stolen.

As for Larcade, I want to believe Sting will win the battle regardless of what happens, but Larcade won't stay down until his mom comes in to "defeat" him (either laying the smackdown on him, killing him with kindness, or both).

Weird chapter... I want Sting to win, but I just don't see it happening, or at least not very soon, given all the hype that has been built up around Larcade. I foresee a thing where Sting beats Larcade on the outside, but then the demon-form or whatever takes over and one-shots Sting.

And then Lucy takes over and wins the fight. Just because.

The fights in FT became a complete joke long time ago. "Show skill, show skill, some bullshit, ultimate skill, lose" the basic pattern

Well Sting made a landmark by winning this chapter. Though not sure if Larcade is fully down yet or not. And Happy finally reveals the truth, well part of the truth.

Wow..I can't believe non-FT members actually beat one of the Big 3 boss team...

Scrubs got lucky! Is that the 10th man down, with Eileen and August still kicking? Anyway, this was quite the serious chapter...now let's see if Lucy's naked body is hot enough to make Natsu rise once again

Obviously this won't be the last we see of Larcade, but this victory definitely felt earned. I'm actually kinda proud of Mashima for giving us a fight and victory against one of a story arc's main villains with zero involvement or commentary from Fairy Tail whatsoever.

Now we get focus back onto Happy. He's gotten plenty of flak for everything he's done since learning Natsu will die (mostly just keeping it to himself, though stopping him from killing Zeref probably didn't help), but I don't find his actions completely out of the question. He likely felt he didn't want to trouble everyone while they were in the middle of a war. Still, what could he do on his own? He had to tell someone sooner or later. If this problem doesn't sort itself out, then for Happy's sake, hopefully Mavis' plan to beat Zeref will be non-lethal.

Last we checked, Ajeel and Jacob were still up, Ajeel fighting Elfman and Lisanna, and Jacob fighting Mirajane. They've been defeated in proper fights before, so I suspect we won't get to see much of their defeats, but they're still kicking as far as we know.

Reading the chapter again, I'm particularly stricken by the close-up on Zeref's face, which I assume to be his reaction to Larcade's defeat. That kind of shading is usually reserved in this series for when characters feel either great dread or great fury, yet Zeref's expression is impossible to read. I kind of like that about Zeref, to be honest, and I'm glad we still get to see that part of him even when he's embracing his role as the main villain.

Is rather surprising that they were allowed to beat a relatively major enemy . "Sure, fine we'll let these non-FT characters be useful for once." Team effort secures the win.

And yeah now the truth is out which makes things even more complicated for the group. At least Happy didn't bother to keep things quiet any longer. And hey we're even getting dragon biology lessons .

And of course never missing the chance for more fanservice so fully expect Lucy to be naked next chapter...

Seems to be the "deep in contemplation" face, sans the evil pyramid of fingers (Zeref doesn't really need one). I don't think he will make a move yet, though, instead waiting for certain events to unfold first.

Is Larcade really meant it when he said he is the trump card to beat Acnologia? I mean, how? By putting him sleepy?

He is probably got vaporised before he can use his spells.
