But the chapter itself is really interesting. Azami first approached the 1st seat to gain his trust and so the word about him could be spread to the other members of the elite, and Rindou just happened to also be there. And that looks she gives...

Assuming this is true, the only ones who will really benefit from this are chefs at the top. If the standards of taste are increased then even the ordinary expert chefs will be treated as average.

I agree with the theory because it seems like Azami. Especially given what he's said about his own views already. And we already know he misunderstood why Jouichirou left Tootsuki. It does make a lot of sense, even if it turns out to be wrong. Either way, let's just wait and see for now.

And yeah, his views aren't mistaken but his method definitely is. As others have said. If you want everyone to taste true gourmet, lower the darned prices. And even then, everyone has different tastes, so what one person thinks of as good may not be as good for someone else.

What do you know, Rindou and Tsukasa actually have splendid teamwork. I liked the flashback only because it showed how close these two are. Now I'm guessing what Rindou is truly afraid of is winning because she actually disagrees with Azami's ideals and sided with him only because Tsukasa did.

Yeah this is what I don't like about these kinds of chapters. Are we supposed to relate to them because of the flashback? Because news flash, we don't.

But it's still a good flashback. Good backstory, just like the other flashback we had of them. The only bad thing in this one is Azami. But I think this will help us understand Tsukasa and his reasons more. The hint is in what Azami said and also how Tsukasa got mad for a reason he didn't understand earlier in the flashback when people were praising his cooking.

@Kanon: Yeah, now that you mention it, that might really be the reason behind her fear. But then why did Megishima say to Takumi that she seemed like a cornered beast that's giving out threatening roar in their match?

Something has to happen to make Eishi a likeable first seat like Gin and Koujirou. Granted the latter is more of a male tsundere but beggers can't be choosers, because the way things are going, expect the biggest tantrum in SnS history with Eishi and Azami.

It looks like Rindou is not as aware of Tsukasa's emotions of disappointment of the reactions of those that tasted his cooking. And it looks like she's not much of a fan of Azami the first time they met him if her expression is to be believed.

Yeah I'm getting that vibe as well. It's looking like she only joined Central out of loyalty to her friend but secretly I think she disagrees with Central's ideals.

rindou joined central because of eishi is too shallow, she's just following him whatever he go, like expecting something from him, she doesn't have any conviction, what she did right now is not helping eishi to realize what he want, she just push him into the abyss untill he met azami which made it worse.

she feel nostalgic where eishi and she cooking for fun and compete each other, but now it's too late, that best friends of hers is filled with foolish-messiah ideology in his head whose think that cooking is not fun at all.

Yeah, she needs to wake up. Someone needs to save her and Tsukasa from themselves and Azami. But the two people who can do it aren't doing well as a team right now (as far as we know).

It was nice to see that 3rd years elite 10 members were actually in good term with each other before Azami came and infected his dumb virus on few of them.

I am kinda satisfied that Rindo and Tsukasa weren't completely helpless like how others had predicted in last week when it comes to teamwork.

As for the flashback, I was rather surprised to learn that Rindo was actually the decent person who just can't say "no" to her husband even the path they were heading to is hell. As for Tsukasa, this guy is definitely a scumbag and the flashback made him even unlikable. Same goes to Azami. How dare he call the paying clients and customers a pig just because they don't share or enjoying the same ideal with him. This guy and Tsukasa are indeed a giant baby here, and this made Eizan looks like a sensible person in comparison.

The hilarious part is Azami was completely got wrong of Jouichirou's reason to left the school in the past.

You're prone to jumping to conclusions. You did it in regards to Rindou and Tsukasa's teamwork as well. Souma and Erina are fine. That's just typical Souma behavior.
