I would label it as more of a non-concrete love triangle...well, that's how the manga came off to me, anyway.
From the looks of the OP (you know- the part where Yuki is kissing a mysterious hand), she just might choose between Zero and Kaname in the end. Hurray for an original ending! |

Reminder to manga fans: Do not post manga related spoilers in this thread. We have a seperate Manga thread for this. Some members may have not read the manga and probably do not wish to be spoiled on future events.

That's probably my only disappointment with the anime adaptation, though it's nothing at all major.

Success. To me, it had the exact same feel as the manga. I don't like that studio for animation and for pacing, but it's impossible for those things to be ruined in the case of Vampire Knight, and they put the budget in... so, cool. I knew it was a good decision to stop reading the manga and wait for the anime.

I checked this show out of curiosity, therefore, my expectations were not on the high side of the scale. Not to mention that, with the exception of Hellsing OAV, I was often disappointed by the japanese's take on vampire mythos.
It has come better than I expected. I'll give it three more episodes to see if I'll keep on following it. I have actually seen it a long time ago and always wondered who she was cosplaying. Now I know! |

Ah, good...from a GONZO bashing thread (which is just about any GONZO related thread) I jumped into the DEEN bashing thread. I feel so weird for actually liking most of what I have seen from these two studios.
Anyway, I was just about to give up when the Headmaster tried to be funny but I perservered and was pleasantly surprised. I am not into vampire story but this was quite riveting once I got past the humour attempts. Very atmospheric.

This anime is a drama, so don't expect major actions like Blade or anything like that. Also, the anime is a drama, romance, and supernatural - notice the absence of the comedy genre in the listing. Quote:
