To me, this season was carried hard by Yor. Opening with the hilarious shot in the butt episode and then the whole boat arc.

That was never in doubt. The issue is that they're going to run out of material after the inevitable S3. The manga is bi-weekly and the author takes breaks pretty often.

They adapted 58 chapters out if 92 not counting extras. If hypothetical S3 airs next Fall, they will have enough material for like 3 more coures if the author won't take to many breaks.
