Anyone else find it strange that Battler's character ability is Resurrection? That ability screams Ange or at least Beatrice. I was thinking she could revive her partner if he/she got killed.

I'm pretty sure character abilities don't apply to themselves, but rather the partner they're fighting with. That's what I figure at least.
If Battler's tagged-out, his ability will activate and affect his partner who's tagged-in. Adds a bit more complexity to the game.

Considering this screenshot, it seems some skills apply regardless which character is currently fighting.

That's why I said you never know if some stuff are problematic or not.
Even simple things like "damage" turns into some weird "damege", so I'm not surprised by that french translation of "reverse beat" into "en sens inverse coup".
