The purpose of this thread is to allow free discussion of theories and speculation of the Valvrave the Liberator anime series based on spin-off novels and manga., but be warned since it may contain unmarked spoilers. Having a central location may help focus the discussion instead of spreading speculation over the various episode discussion threads.

If they were related I'd think they'd have mentioned the relation by now. So at this point I'm just going to take it as something we aren't meant to assume. Given how large these superpowers are it's possible that A-Drei's family may have been royals from one of the annexed countries (keeping their status only by swearing fealty to the Dorssian monarchy).

Well, maybe that's because A-drei's royal background isn't relevant in the anime? It's been mentioned here and there, but it's never really a main focus of his character. So far, he's only been about L-elf.

I'm guessing that they're using the manga to cover the things that they couldn't in the small span of 12 episodes (although I do still hope that they'll at least touch up on it in the anime). I'm sure that there are instances of this in Saki's manga as well. Also, all credit for the translations and scans goes to kind /a/nons.

But part of the reason A-Drei is so hell bent on getting L-Elf back is because of his goals. That has been touched on in the anime (when he talks about his right hand) and the magazine descriptions all bring up his previous status. Also with the existence of the royal sympathizers I would be surprised if his royal background doesn't play a part at some point. Though obviously I don't expect it to get the same level of treatment as the Valvrave/Magius stuff (thus where the manga comes in).

It seems to be blatant foreshadowing more than anything. That maybe he will in the future, but the novel seems to focus on Haruto's feelings for Shoko more. Its made pretty obvious that he loves her more than she loves him.

Just because it hasn't been mentioned here yet, Dengeki Daioh's official twitter posted a few days ago:

今月発売の電撃大王12月号掲載の『革命機ヴァルヴレイヴ流星の乙女』の原稿が上がって来ていますが・・・ついに登場のエルエルフさんがかっこいい。

So L-elf will finally be appearing in Saki's manga in the December issue, so chapter 5.

I'm going to assume that it's going to start S2, since chapter 4 covered episode 10-11.

He appeared (a little bit) in chapter 1, which was episode 6.
Now, in chapter 4 since it's dealing episode with episode 10-11, but I haven't seen the chapter, so there could be a little more.

First, as seen by the scan, A-drei and Lieselotte did know each other. They could even be called friends. Although this chapter did confirm that they are related, it did debunk the theory that they are full blown siblings like Lelouch and Nunnally. This is because of their ranks. Lieselotte was the heir to the throne while A-drei had a lower rank than she did (which is why he looks so nervous in the first panel). If they were siblings, wouldn't A-drei be the heir ? He's a guy and he's older than her. The way I see it, they could either be half-siblings at best or cousins at worst. This chapter also confirmed A-drei's goals. He plans to reinstate the royal family one day... Will he succeed?

He hesitates and she bites him on the wrist, winning. - The way Haruto thinks and looks at Shoko are pretty clear - he loves her. - JIOR only has one Sphere; its location is Earth-Moon L2. - The Module's dome displays an image of the sky that changes from dawn to dusk according to a programmed schedule. - Haruto and Shoko had to clean the shrine as punishment for their quarrel during the self-study session. - L-elf orders Haruto to hand Shoko over during their confrontation. He refuses and L-elf asks if he would like to cut her in half instead. L-elf stretches his hand in her direction, Haruto tries to stop him and ends up being knocked to the ground, and then kicked in the shoulder when he tries to get up. When L-elf says that one can't split the most important things in half, he's apparently no longer talking to them but saying it to someone else. kiak666 Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2009 Location: Malaysia	According to a Chinese Forum, here are some interesting background infos from the official novelization: Spoiler for Spoilers: - The reason why Kyuma is so obsessed with money is because he has an ill older sister, and the family was too poor to send her for treatment. - Ideals are all piloted by Karlstein graduates, and the "Perfection Army" mentioned in Episode 2 actually refers L-Elf's squad. - Aina's Memorial Website was made by other students, not Kyuma. - Kibukawa was kicked out from the VVV Project because he disagreed with the way his superiors handled the students. - Saki initially uses Haruto to gain fame, but she was eventually attracted by his determined and kind nature. - Kriemheld and H-Neun discovered that Cain never mentioned anything about the Harakiri Blade in his report to Wartenberg (bald guy who held Shoko's dad captive). - The Pierra Del Sol Waffe's shield uses artficial sun to heat up (which was the round object equipped on the Ideals) - When Akira busts out from her shelter to rescue Shoko, the shortest route was blocked by debris. The path she eventually took passes by Kibukawa's lab, in which Unit 6 was moved over there for examination. - ARUS President's name is Jeffrey Anderson (ジェフリー·アンダーソン（).
