It would be pretty stupid if that is real and they leaked a major spoiler like that 2 weeks before the ep airs.

and to be honest i know who ppl think that is, but even with my HD monitor its still hard to see it clearly.

It's from the official blog. Also, if one takes into account the title for episode 26, there's a 99% chance of it being real.

If you guys follow the official blog, can we definitely say yet which path the anime will take?

If it follows the most plausible course as suggested by the spoiler pics for episode 25, and the title for 26, then who's Cal smiling happily at (while sitting in a car?) I wonder? And how would that scene fit? Seems kinda odd.

my post was refering to the spoiler pic that was deleted, i believe it was supposed to be for ep 26. If that pic happens in 25 then i am gonna be more confused

Well... now that the subs are out, here is what we've regrettably been missing from the game.

Spoiler:

There, Cal begins the talk the same way - Cal half mocks, half commends Mio about taking the abduction in stride, since she expected her to break down and cry. Mio takes the opportunity to ask Cal why she's so full of hatred, and Cal's position is essentially that Reiji screwed her over and betrayed her. Mio however stands her ground. Over the time of their talk, she tells Cal that Reiji also carries a heavy burden, but he didn't turn out like this. And that she knows that unlike what Cal thinks he is HAPPY that Cal is alive, he told her himself. She doesn't know everything which happened between them, but she knows that he DOES care for her, no matter what Cal thinks.

This is getting Cal seriously angry, and we proceed to the violent scene between them. However, in the middle of it, Mio doesn't merely fall unconscious, she cowers and tries to protect herself. And here, Cal is shrieking up and recoiling. Pictures of herself being violently abused by her own father fill her mind, because Mio looks exactly the same way now like _Cal_ did in the past. She realizes that she has become the same which she so feared and hated in the past. So, Cal immediately stops her abuse, apologizes to Mio and retreats to a window to think things over.

Later in the night, Mio wakes up and sees Cal crying quiet tears. Here, her inner Monologue begins whose absense in the anime I really regret (since it's part of every path): She feels strong empathy to Cal, who has lost herself in her hatred, but who clearly not always was that way. Particularly the fact that Cal looks so lonely and isolated touches her, and Mio wonders if there isn't anything she could do to change that. Essentially, Mio thinks that not everything is lost for her. Someone has to free her from the ugly past and make her whole again, but no matter what she does, Mio can't do it. In the morning then, Cal apologizes to Mio once more and gives her the "It's no use hating me, just forget I ever existed" talk, and the anime continues from there.

Essentially, I consider this scene the key to the entire show. Mio succeeds in getting Cal to think about the past. She manages to plant at least the seeds of doubt in her whether her "Reiji was a cruel careless bastard" conviction was really true, or whether he WAS happy to see her again. She also realized that she has turned into the same kind of monster which had abused her in the past, and that she feared and hated. However, Cal sees no way out and only wants to end it all.

Mio, on the other hand, realizes that Cal isn't completely broken, and that there's hope pulling her back from the brink. This is also why she's reacting so strongly to Elen's intention to duel and kill her. She wants to _prevent_ this confrontation, not merely because she's scared about Reiji/Elen, but also since she thinks that there should be a way to resolve this WITHOUT killing each other.

After the subs of the next episode, I'll explain why I believe they removed these aspects. Though smart viewers will probably be able to deduce them themselves.

Good episode, though its really killing me that they are leaving the episodes on such cliffhanges >.> well depending on how they resolve the situations is going to have a big impact how good this last arc is considering so much build up.

So we see Cal breakdown and regain a part of herself and somewhat realize the dark path she has been on, but from ringing Elen, Cal still isn't herself quite yet and thinks she is on the path of no return, and I expect Reiji will be the one to save her. From going to laughing to crying out Reiji's name that scene was perfect! but still the whole Mio/Cal scene didn't have as big of an impact from the conversation that I was expecting. Perhaps they are saving some impact for later.

Still I'm waiting for Cal to learn the Truth! And for Reiji to explan it all to her, cant see Reiji ever shooting Cal because for one he still cares! for her and second he knows! he is partly responsible (as he has said quite a bit) for this situation so if Reij really means what he said and done, he will explain things and at least try to save Cal at the cost of his own life to show that there time meant something to him. Since we see a crying Cal calling out reiji name. I couln''t see Cal not break once again if Reiji decides that he will make things right no matter what. I would expect it since we have seeen so much guilt from Reiji to what happend to Cal and happy that she is alive and added that reiji doesn't want to lose anyone again I wonder how they would make it believable that reiji would shot Cal considering the whole build up is against the whole idea. Reiji hasn't been a star of a character this arc but he is still the same guy from the first and the second arc, so unless there is a death cause by a diferent party they will have a happy reunion, (imo) It would be disappointing if they belittle the connection that two characters share for an whole arc.

I'm not sure as to where Ellen will fit into all of this it seems likey she would die to protect reiji.. but that seems almost to straight forward for that to happen. So I reckon we will see some developments for Ellen apart from living for reiji. Not sure if I'd come across as being bias but thats just the way I viewed things.

I guess Cal did really rape Mio in the anime as well, although they did not show it. She said after all about leaving a scar for the rest of her life, and next scene shows her on the floor unconscious with her clothes ripped apart.

Spoiler for episode 25 preview + episode 26 title name: Well about that picture in the blog I still have my doubts that it looks like what some people have said, until the episode airs I not going to be convinced since the whole show has been throwing plot twits around. If such was true that would be an awful way of spoiling an episode. They didn't spoiler Cals breakdown with any pre-view picture even though the show had been hinting towards it. So I'm taking the (tiny) screens with a grain of salt. As for the episode 26 title, well considering the show started with Ein I cant say that calling the tittle name Ellen tells us how its going to end. Havn't played much of the game but I would think that Ellen could either live or die as Ellen.

It's just the same with some characters. Her death flags are so obvious that it makes her immune to them. It's going to lack the impact if she dies. Now with Cal...she sure have some obvious death flags, but they aren't as serious. So either: -Drei comes to her senses and dies while she redeems herself. Reiji walks away with Ellen. -Both are going to die and Mio takes Reiji. -Cal/Reiji "happy reunion" and Elen sacrafices herself.(the least possible) OR: -Both Cal and Ellen survives and either Cal wins and Ellen remains as little-sis or something like that. -Both Ellen and Cal survives and Cal gives up her revenge and walks away. Ellen wins. But to be honest I can't see the last 3 really happening. Phantom needs tragedy/drama. Ellen's death is tragic, but quite expected. Not to mention the hints of the OPs and Endings. And in general the whole story had some kind of focus on her. So in that sense she's the heroine of the show. Well, it remains even if she loses in "romance".
