[Manga] Chapter 341 Discussion

the spoiler seems too good to be true. many secrets reveals in it and in one chapter? if its kishi's hes doing it wrong, i mean we all love revelation but all in one chapter will kill the excitement. just my thought.

I have serious doubts about that spoiler. It's unsually long and like Rahan said, all those scene changes too. There's lines for Shikamaru and Kakashi but Naruto has no dialogue at all which is very odd unless he's passed out from exhaustion, but that should've been mentioned. Sakura, Sai, Tsunade and Yamato also have short and pointless lines. It almost seems like everything is centered around Shikamaru and Kakashi and the author couldn't really think of anything meaningful for anyone else. I think Shika losing in shogi is suppose to show that he still has a lot to learn. It is a little silly for him to lose to his dad, but that might be what Kishi is trying to say. This is a new Shika that will train hard to reach his potential and protect Kurenai and her baby(and hopefully Temari). Even as good as he is now, he still can go a lot further. Hence, Asuma's Hokage comment.

Just like Naruto. He might have passed Kakashi, but there is still Sasuke and the 4th. Each is just a rung on the ladder to being the greatest ever.

The Sasuke scene is interesting since I could see Kishi wanting to show that he's now a killer.

The Tsunade scene is weird. She was a little too blase about them beating two Akatsuki with essentially four men(Yamato, Naruto, Shikamaru, Kakashi). Maybe it's because I wanted her to reach into her desk and pull out a couple of jounin jackets for Naruto and Shikamaru.

Well I can overlook Shika losing in Shougi despite a 200 IQ. Like I said, it's the lack of lines for the other characters that is questionable. Especially Naruto, who is normally very animated anyway and after this battle he should be very excited and talkative yet he doesn't say a word. There's always the possibility that he passed out and was taken to the hospital though. Kurenai's pregnancy is also puzzling. Why does it seem like it was/is being kept a secret from everyone else? The scene with Sasuke seems most consistent with Kishi's writing, though it doesn't take a huge stretch of the imagination to come up with a scene like that. It is a very detailed spoiler though and the most plausible one I've seen so far. Maybe the spoiler (or elements of it) will be correct. We'll see when the chapter comes out. I mostly just enjoy testing my skills of observation.

BTW, "and hopefully Temari"? Judging by your avatar and sig, I would've taken you for a Shika x Ino fan.

i'am a bit confused there,DEDE, you seems to be shika-ino fans but you hope shika to protect temari as well? you mean this is some kind of love story, a person in dilemma to choose his best soulmate? just kidding!!

back to topic, according to the spoiler, we see shikaku defeated shika in shogi game, well that answers where shika get hi genious mind!!

I kind of agree in some part, we should wait for the final translation to see better about it, but it seems Shika lost on the same manner Asuma lost to him, in this case the strategy used to play, it seems the new mindset of Shika is somehow connected on how Assuma view things. …

I don't think it's connected to how Asuma viewed things... Asuma thinks its necessary to sacrifice pieces but the way Shika thinks now, he doesn't want any pieces to be sacrificed which is a lot harder imo.

I'm a ShikaIno fan, but a realist who knows that pairing isn't going to happen. The storyline likely calls for Shikamaru to be with Temari if some of the characters begin relationships. So I go with the flow.

Naruto isn't a love story. But Kishimoto has said he wanted to add romance in Part 2. He just hasn't done it yet. Although you can argue that Sasuke x Naruto is the manga's greatest love story.

Back on topic. This will be a very interesting chapter.

I would love to know what Tsunade was going to say(please be promotions!) and it appears that Sasuke is not quite as strong as I thought. You can tell that Kishimoto did not like Kakuzu and Hidan. They went out cold.

When I talked about view things was more about the part of Knowing who the king is and the importance of the King, in terms of Konoha, and not about Sacrifices, as it seems, he choosed a way to protect the king without sacrifices, which as you stated, is way much more difficult.

And I did made a mistake because at the start of the Covnersation between Shikamaru and his Dad, it seemed to me Shikanaru was doing the “The Bougin” (the sacrifice move), as his Dad noted, but it seems Shika decided to do a different strat, well, its better to wait for the chapter.

Hopefully they take care of the kid better than they did with Naruto or Sasuke. I always found it weird how they didn't set them up with a foster family at least. Especially at a young age. Either way, the kid will be better off since he/she has mother and an uber smart...I'll call Shika the godfather of the child.
