favorite show in this category... it did wonders to make an original adaptation of a rather generic shounen manga; the result was a pleasant surprise that kept me at the edge of my sit--and in contrast to other action "thrillers," there was actually a good character development (plus yuri subtext).

-{B} Adventure/Fantasy: Allison and Lillia
Allison and Lillia was not necessarily outstanding in the Adventure/Fantasy genre, but I did enjoy it a lot--even though the development of its story was sometimes disappointing. Old-school, great voice acting, likeable characters, perhaps a bit sloppy in the animation; but overall very interesting...

Kara no Kyoukai is simply awesome...

-{E} Comedy: Kannagi
Let's see, Kannagi made me laugh until my stomach hurt. The jokes never got old and the animation/atmosphere was very impressive, especially in the first two and last two episodes. Oh and the dynamics/interaction of its cast was one of the best I've seen in a long while. One character alone could've not carried the show on his/her own, but each one of them was part of the charm that made Kannagi so enjoyable and hilarious, from beginning to end. Indeed, my favourite comedy of recent memory.

-{F} Romance: True Tears
I really liked True Tears, especially the way it developed as a romance. It wasn't really great, but it sure knew how to captivate the audience with the mood, the animation, the music and the characters. Overall, it was really entertaining, and something I did look forward to each week.

-{G} Slice of Life: ARIA the Origination
Watching Aria made me feel that there was nothing wrong with the world. Slice-of-Life became one of my favourite genres just because of ARIA. It did not try to achieve anything great or outstanding; but it made me appreciate the little details in life in a very mundane approach. Always relaxing and the best therapy after a very stressing day; I'm going to miss ARIA a lot...

Deciding between Blassreiter and Kurozuka for Action was really hard, but in the end, I enjoyed a lot more the action scenes in Blassreiter, still Kurozuka was great.

I was going to vote for worst just cause I don't like all of this Suzaku hate. He's a good character. He's just as confused and angsty as most people. I know that I've had moments where I was like "OMFG!!! SUZAKU I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!!!" but those didn't last. Most of this hate is just because he's against Lulu for like the whole series. If he was with Lulu from the start people wouldn't really hate him as much.
