FireFox pop up thing

So one day I highlighted some text and this this thing pops up when I hover over what I highlight, and expands, as seen in the bottom left of this screen cap.
Its annoying as hell, any know what it is/how to get rid of it?

I think it's a Firefox add-on. In that case, to identify what add-ons you are using, go to Tools > Add-ons. An add-on management window will appear.

From there you can either disable or uninstall add-ons.

I think someone in your house probably installed that add-on.

While you're at it, you might want to install the AdBlock Plus add-on so you won't have to look at all those ads I see in the image you posted. After it's installed, you'll be prompted to subscribe to a blocking service; choose EasyList.

The OP already has it installed (if you check the screenshot you can see the adblock plus icon right next to the search box)

Hmm, you're right. Maybe he or she forget to subscribe to a blocking service? Or maybe I'm just more aggressive about blocking ads that EasyList misses? I doubt I'd be seeing that Bell ad or the insurance one just above it, but then my home page is plain old www.google.com, too.
