DBZ anime's pacing was bad even for the old days' standard back then. You'd think that after all these years the writing & directing will improve even just a liiiitle bit (especially since this is anime-original material), but noooooo......... You can't expect good things from Toei, let alone great . This is why I'm pretty much a DB-manga-only fan and only watch the TV series for amusement. And seeing DBZ and now DBS TV series so far, I couldn't be happier with my status.
Why the pacing can't be like the old DB series or DBZ movies? If they really want to extend the story, please add some plot/side-story/anything that is worthy to fill the time, not just watching drawn-out scenes of two dudes screaming their lungs out powering up and then delivering lame-ass-looking punches. It's funny how this "punches that can end the universe" has no tension or impact to me at all compared to, say, boxing punches thrown in Hajime no Ippo. That's an obvious sign of a reeeeaaaly bad execution on DBS part.

And this week's DragonballSuper... Well, we spent most of the episode on Goku and Beerus trying to push that ki ball against each other. Then in the end, we get Goku's God form fizzling out... But of COURSE that's just the start of the brawl.
Looks like we're getting the whole of next episode of Goku as SSJ matching Beerus. Oi. I see DBZ's pacing is back in full swing. Do we REALLY need to have another episode on Goku-as-SSJ battling Beerus, but this time equally and not a curbstomp?

Here though, Beerus actually had to point it out to him. This is significant. Goku KNOWS he doesn't have God energy anymore in Super, but here he still decides to fight on anyway.

Seeing how Super was at its most enjoyable in its first two "filler" episodes and then the fun-factor plummeted once the plot started, I'd say this is a good thing.
That said, episode 14... Holy shit I actually enjoyed that. A lot. That was honestly a pretty fantastic closer to the arc, even if the arc itself was like, GT-level boring.

The BoG segments is over and it at least ended on a high note. The filler episodes were fun so I don't mind going back to them for a while.
Though why was Videl glaring at Mr Satan like she was expecting him to be able to do something?

Lol, I find a lot of Beerus' reactions to be quite amusing for this arc. Wasn't much into the story though. I'm hoping the next arc will retain some of the humor as that PV looks silly already with Mr. Satan.
