I happen to care more about the extra storylines than about things like online play. XD

Yes. I play a fighter game for it's story and not for Versus.

Okay, it's been confirmed Extend on PS3/Xbox360 is a new disc. Also, it includes the "Unlimited Mars" mode from the arcades that isn't in the PSP/3DS CS2. Unlimited Mars is basically Score Attack but all the characters you fight are unlimited instead of just the last few.

The PS3/360 versions will be shown off at ASW's booth at TGS, the PSVita version will be shown off at Sony's booth. Also, there will be a live recording of a special BuruRaji W episode on the TGS Event Stage on the 17th of September.

At least, you still can do it for Blazblue, since the story didn't come as an afterthought.

Does it means that I don't have to buy all those chara DLC from before to get them because they're included in this new disc?

I'm a little pissed off. I'll pass on this...
Buying a new game for a new character and some storylines is just a joke.

At least, SSF4 allow us to buy the extra content of the arcade version without buying the entire game.

I hope that there's going to be more to this "new" game than the few extras that they announced so far. I'd love to get it for the new stories alone, but other than that (and Relius) I'm not entirely sure if it's really worth it to have the game be sold as a separate disc...

I'm selling my continuum shift this minute before gamestop gets wise and lowers the trade-in price.

so it means that if I buy BB: CS Extend, I don't need to buy the DLC characters anymore to use them because they're on disc already? I just bought BB: CS yesterday. I'm a little confused

Yes. You should hold on and don't purchase any DLC characters. Wait for the BBCSE version instead.

Actually, if they continue to update the BBCS one, then I may not buy the new one, and borrow my friend's instead. I have no interest in Relius anyway.

So Extend's gonna be a completely separate on-disc release huh? Well I'll still be getting it even if for just the 4 new storylines. Don't want to miss a single detail.

And the Calamity Trigger story is gonna be on it too as well? Does that mean I can get rid of my original copy of CT? That's the only reason I'm still holding onto it.

Pretty much. I'm actually curious as to why they're doing this. They're redoing the voice acting and are going to refine the storyline. I don't understand why, but if I had to guess, they're probably going to be doing a lot of retconing or are going to throw in the 4 new characters into Calamity Trigger so we find out what they've been doing during that time and somehow blend them into the story so as to create a concrete version of the plot. I'm still rather confused.

imho it's probably not so much an expansion than it is the need to release something on a disc without it being a full blown new title in order to stay relevant. That's why they seem desperate to fill up that bluray disc with content nobody asked for. Save for the 4 extra story paths, the extra modes and refurbished Calamity trigger are not really essential unless they plan to retcon some stuff. There seems to be only one new character, which could have just been dlc. Suffice it to say I will be getting this, since I didn't get any of the dlc characters beforehand.

BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend isn’t just a PlayStation Vita game. Arc System Works announced it will be available for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 too.

This version includes all of the previous downloadable content on disc plus new challenger Relius Clover. Online mode has new rule options such as 2-on-2, 3-on-3, and even 2-on-4 battles. Need to practice? Arc System Works enhanced the key recording function and fine tuned abyss mode with stronger characters.

Unlimited Mars Mode from the arcade version has also been added to BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend. Select this and you’ll fight ten stages of CPU controlled unlimited characters.

Arc System Works also added new scenarios for BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend. The game is slated for release in Japan this winter and will be playable at Tokyo Game Show.
