Life be getting sliced hard in this episode. At least it contained one of the chapters I was actually hoping to see: the one that confronted Meme's memory issues. It brings into stark relief the fact that, just because she forgets everything that happened to her, that doesn't necessarily make the consequences go away. Sometimes it causes more drastic consequences. It's rather unsettling to see her worrying about forgetting things and people that she doesn't want to forget. We tend to see her as a comic character, but it's rather tragic to realize that she can't hold on even to the memories she wants to cling to.
Next week it looks like things might be getting more serious.

Yes indeed... fully agree with this. The material for the next ep in the preview does not remind me of what I have read in the manga, so I am extra excited for next week! ^^
Gotta admit, though - while Meme's drunken style boxing while sleepwalking is pretty awesome I also feel very sorry for her memory loss. While the sloth was a pretty funny addition and all (have I ever seen any anime where someone takes their pet sloth for a Sunday walk, I wonder? ) the scene with her head lancing with pain before she remembered a bit was a painful and sad one....

Does seem like Meme's memory issue is much more serious and possibly plot centered than originally expected. Of course this was a good episode to show the contrast with perspective. For casual viewing the memory loss can be comical or somewhat frustrating, but for Meme it can be a pretty unsettling thing. She is a good person so not knowing where she's been or what she's been doing can be concerning.
Long as nothing too dangerous happens it will be good for Meme to get some kind of partner, Tsugumi or someone else. If that memory loss is just a standard thing for her would need someone around who can fill in the blanks. But yeah, have a feeling she is or will get involved with that witch, lose the memories of Tsugumi and the others and need help. Might force an AnyaxTsugumi team to go after her.
