I think it looks better in the original image. It's in the site LVD posted, to be more specific it's in this post. It's a precious one ^^

Nanoha's birthday has never been mentioned officially.
However there are 2 unofficial theories about it.

March 15th
In the game リリカルおもちゃ箱(Lyrical Toy Box),Miyuki says Nanoha's birthday is March 15th.

February 27th
In the author Tsuzuki's site,he said "Nanoha's birthday was in March.But Nanoha's birthday may be February 27th in this world".(Perhaps former Nanoha means Nanoha in the game and this world means the MGLN world.)
Also,he mentioned that Fate's birthday is in January.
But above may be the author's joke.The reason is,

Adding Hayate's birthday to Nanoha and Fate's data,
Nanoha's birthday:February 27th
Fate's birthday:January
Hayate's birthday:June 4th

These are obviously associated with seiyu's birthdays.
Tamura Yukari's birthday:February 27th
Mizuki Nana's birthday:January 21st
Ueda Kana's birthday:June 9th
Because of this,this theory may be a just kidding excepting Hayate.

I'm not sure which is correct but the March 15th theory seems to be a mainstream at least in Japan.

You kidding? °-°'' That's not what I call failed, that's even pretty good! I mean the hair are well done, hands look like real one (I have some friends who are really skill and still fail to draw this part properly >.>) and the whole pic is consistent : that's Fate, no mistake here.
Ok, it still a bit rough and you need tu put more shadows here and there, but since you're only 14, you have plenty of time to improve ^-^.

It's not a failed drawing at all. Sure, there could be some improvements here and there, but so far this drawing is quite good for someone who probably only started drawing recently.

Of course, there are always points where you could improve. The fingers on her left hand are... awkwardly long. You should try to hold your own hand in a similar pose to get an idea of what to draw. Also, the lineart is quite angular. I'm not familiar with Jasc, but what kind of tools did you use to trace the outlines?

In other news, I never realized how easy it is to turn Fried from 'cute little dragon pet' to 'awesome dragon guardian.' Not untill DK showed me.

I'll never look at Fried the same way again. :3

I agree with the others.
The picture is definitly not fail.

Keroko pointed out the weird fingers already and you should try and make the outlines a little less angular.

Don't let yourself bother too much with smaller errors, they can happen. Take your time and improve little by litte.
