They say that themselves, and they insist they are using dimensional travel. So that must be the case.

To the average lay person, they think "other dimension" and they picture something like ours, just more alien planets. To a physicist, alternate dimensions don't work that way. 2-D is two dimensional, which is essentially what you watch on TV, a flat surface, no depth. 3-D is depth. 4-D, a fourth dimension, takes time into account. That's how dimensions work. When you walk across the street, you are dimensionally traveling. You are traveling in 3 or 4 dimensions. It's a bit of a meaningless term.

So, in the context of the series, dimensional traveling is simply the faster-than-light dimension of glow lights that you see. To a 2-D person, I can disappear and reappear elsewhere by traveling through a third dimension that a 2-D person can't perceive. That is what the Bureau does with their ships; travel through an unknown dimension, but ultimately popping back into our normal space.

No, they say they cross dimensions. In fiction that means moving between diferent universes most of the time and so far they never mention going in to space. So I say they go to other dimensions as the series itselfs admits. This is a nice theory Kaijo but is not canon proof of it. However it is an interesting concept to be taken in to consideration.

Nope.jpg. Nanoha's dimension vastly differ from that of, say, Marvel Comicss dimension or Nasuverse's dimension.

Example of Marvel Comics dimension: Dormammu world, Annihilus world.
Example of Nasuverse's dimension: Each and every end of Fate/Stay Night happen in a different dimension/world.

Nanoha, on the other hand, doesn't appear to be like either definition.

So they say is dimensional travel and you say is not… odd. Didn't we discuss a lot when I did something similar with Belka and Mid-Childa styles without going in a direct contradiction of what they say about them? So why is that a fact that can't be doubt and yet this seems to be just fine to think in a different manner of what the series itself establish?

Nope.jpg. Do remember that in Nanoha, everybody claim that Belka and Mid-Childa are different - with some clear indications and facts too - but you claims otherwise - using some very general, factless , no offense, stupid arguments. Here, I claim that it's different, with examples too: Marvel Comics dimension and Nasuverse dimension.

All three contain the word "dimension", yet each of their definition is different. So forgive me for being skeptical.

To go further:

- Nanoha dimension: Virtually no different in rule of physics, the people have the same look and skin yet not all share a common history and even then each of their situation is different.

- Marvel Comics dimension: Different rule of physics, different set of species (Dormammu, Annihilus).

- Nasuverse: Almost identical to each other down to the history, with various divergence points. (Fate, Unlimited Blade Works, Heaven's Feels, etc...)

Star Trek also just visited planets without exploring them in-depth a lot of times though.

Think of Nanohaverse dimensions as the planes of Magic: The Gathering.

Folks, I am gonna have to ask you to chill out and stop insulting others just because you disagree with them.

The usual warnings and infractions will be given to those that continue down this path.

Indeed but they really cover how large and vast their universe is as well as making a lot of planets unique with unique cultures that were alien and even humans. My point is they do try to give those planets something to work with and Nanoha just seems to ignore that in favor of making everything look the same. With few exceptions. Like Caro's new home planet that looks like Pandora with floting islands but that seems about it.
