Well said. A 2-month gap is quite a long time, so this is more natural, in a sense. And the anticipation will hopefully only make the date itself so much more enjoyable when we finally get it, right? Besides, we did get progression:

First impression: I hate you
A few episodes ago: You're all right
Now: I actually like that about you

Backtracking was the wrong choice of words on my part and stalling would be a better description. Ultimately the Hasebe x Lucy has been losing lots of steam in the past two episodes.

Personally I don't like Tanaka, and I especially don't like Touko and the bunny section chief I can swallow but only in small moderation so the last two episode weren't exactly the highlight of the show for me.

Right? It was like everyone went "hey, do you know those hateful, boring, or unbelievable side character no one cares about? Let's give them ALL OF THE SCREENTIME!". This episode was more bearable than the previous one though (if only for the lack of Touko). But I now wait for two things:

- a satisfying resolution for Chihaya's plot line (the most satisfying for me would be her dropping Ishiyama. And possibly discovering her bi side with Saya. A man can dream)

- the LucyXHasebe date

No moar Tanaka, pls

Man Miyoshi just slaughtering the guys on that trip out. Though really Hasebe got off easy compared to the barrage that Ichimiya took there

. Just beating the crap out of him with words. Though would be nice if some of that was taken to heart. Should do something rather than just hiding out like that.

Of course any Hasebe and Lucy scenes just remain really cute to watch. That reputation really isn't helping Hasebe make quick progress, though he gets a little bit here and there.

Is surprising when you can force Tanaka off the Hasebe focus that he's easier to handle. It's just keeping him away from that and regrets that's the tricky thing. Well if they want to have some fun with this Tanaka and Miyoshi situation that's alright I think.

Tanaka was actually an OK character for a couple seconds after he stopped yapping about Hasebe all the time... There might still be hope for that one. As for Hasebe himself... I'm actually starting to feel bad for the guy.

The only thing I care about is DAT DATE.

All right episode, but this was boring compared to the rest of the series. Bunny Supervisor still makes me smile, but the joke is kind of old now.

I just listened to the Drama CD parts from the bonus CD of Volume 1. It's really refreshing to hear the cast of Working!! pop up and even interact with Lucy and everyone else.

Funniest moment was when Souma appeared with Satou and then practically exposed everyone from SxS. He was even able to recite Lucy's full name! Almost.

On another note, I love SxS OP so much that I haven't once skipped it. Ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-la-ba~

Miyoshi's words can kill. And yet, it's good advice she gives to the guys nonetheless. Ichimiya does need to be more proactive around Chihaya, ask her out and all that stuff, basically everything he's not doing.

And Hasebe can't even properly talk to Lucy anymore, poor guy. I still think she isn't 100% aware of his feelings for her, or even what she feels for him.

I hope we'll get to see their date in the end, as there's a bit too much focus on the other characters now. Though it's nice to see Miyoshi and Tanaka getting along a bit better and that they're going on a second date, I find the main couple the most interesting.

If there's a second season to this, then they need to bring in some folks from Working into this...I can just imagine Souma trolling poor naive Lucy about her name while Satou and Miyoshi can exchange barbs

Damn it, I was hoping someone would murder Tanaka during the night out so we'd never have to deal with him again.

Miyoshi's day out was kind of interesting from a worker's perspective, other than a few connections, everyone's relationship is strictly co-worker status.

They're friendly in the office, but that's as far as there relationship goes. Outside of work, they're all pretty much strangers.

I just the couple hilarious, as Tanaka is someone who takes other people light hearted comments to very serious degrees, while Miyoshi is someone who inadvertently give other people harsh words despite not one who really means it that way. Together they can take one little thing and escalate it to hilarious proportions, as exhibited by their talking of 'regret' and everything.

Agreed. You owe Chihaya that much at least for her patience with you. Go for it already. Maybe by some miracle, they will dating in the same day when Hasebe and Lucy have their date.
