That's not very interesting though, lol. Last thing I bought related to anime stuff was: I always wanted to play a Toradora game, but when I saw it was PSP I figured since it's a disc I cannot english patch it. Then I learned about PPSSPP and custom PSP firmware for imaging a disc to ISO so I can patch it and play on the emulator. Yay! Too bad I cannot read the manual lol |

Couple weeks ago I indulged myself by buying a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910F). Though I already have a Galaxy S5 Mini (a gift from my family, smaller and thus more practical for when I'm on the move), I'll use the N4 for both media playback/gaming (the quad-core Snapdragon 805 makes games snappier on the N4 than on the S5M), task/event managing (I love the stylus and handwritten note feature) and for taking pictures, as it has twice more megapixels than on my GS5m (the differences are separated by an order of magnitude; the pictures feel MUCH sharper when taken by the N4).
And I had further reason to celebrate my birthday today, as the new GFX card I had ordered (along with a new PSU to satisfy the power requirements) to replace my whiny GTX 550 Ti was delivered at my favorite PC parts shop, almost four days early . I have long procrastinated about this, thinking in aeternum, "oh, maybe I'll buy it next year once the next generation gets rolled out", until I finally decided to break the status quo last week, having deemed the current GPU generation good enough. I was originally gunning for an ASUS GeForce StriX GTX970-DC2OC 4GD5, but that model had a body length far exceeding 270mm, which means that it couldn't fit inside my tower without breaching the SATA drive bay area. So I went back to catalog-scouring and specs-checking, eventually settling for the physically shorter MSi GeForce GTX970 Gaming 4Gb DDR5 (Twin Frozr V). So far, I have met no cause for disappointment... ... ...Although when I first set up the new PSU, slid the GFX card into its PCIe slot, connected all the wires and cords, and finally pressed the main power cycle button... ... ... ...nothing happened. (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ ︵┻━┻ (*Howie scream*) I almost had a miniature heart attack then, thinking I'd have to trundle back to the shop to RMA either or both parts (I even thought, at one hair-raising moment, that I had damaged the motherboard while wresting the thick wire bundles around the casing T_T), but I reworked a few things, swapped some wires and voilà, the new hardware is up and running (notice how little room is left in the GPU area? Close call...it'd have been a nightmare if I had actually ordered the StriX without double-checking the room clearance). I haven't tested my more GPU-intensive games yet, but I'll do that over the weekend. >> Pictures (incidentally, taken with my new Note 4) << P.S. Damn, Battlefield 3 has never looked so good with so much fluidity...I'm almost tempted to shed tears here. P.P.S. I knew something was missing. I forgot to (re)attach a power connector to the CD/DVD-RW combo player. Well, time to reopen that case and fight with the wires. >_<

Yep, I have some CDJapan frequent shoppers point to use up before they expire, so last year, I decided to finally get Neptune Rebirth 3 V Century... I know that Idea Factory International is releasing a localized copy in the summer, but since I use video games for supplemental practice (besides textbooks), I may as well play it in Japanese since I played the other two games in Japanese. Otherwise, the game plays the same like the PS3 version, except the interface is different, extra features and scenes that are not in the original. So far, I'm enjoying it and now on the third chapter. Yep, it came with some bonuses such as the cloth and a code for an extra event DLC.

Just bought a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick. I got originally it for Star Citizen, but then my friend told me about the re-release of X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter for the PC, and I had to get that. Made me doubly glad I got a joystick. It (the game) was 10 dollars. Worth every penny.
