Now that was some interesting development.

Yume and her problems with feeling unloved has resurfaced again (as seen in the previous episode) but this time she takes it a bit further and runs away from home, worrying everyone but apparently not Shinra at first, but that was before Rin told her off for being cold blooded.

Thoughout the episode, I got a weird feeling that Shinra was actually being quite selfish with her biased feelings. She mentions of how Yume cried when their parents died but got pissed at how Yume forgot about what happened...but that itself was rather unreasonable considering how young Yume was back then.

So being depressed, Yume ran away from home. But because of that we did get some background on Natose and a hint on how she injured her right eye. Seems like her family all died and she wasn't able to protect them.

This episode is focused on the family bondings within the family, and whilst rusty, I mean Shinra definitely isn't the "all perfect" person I once though she was being just human afterall, they do share a special bond.

I loved the way Shinra made up with Yume and her side of the story somewhat "justifies" though not completely, her previous raction towards Yume forgetting the past. Out of the three sisters, Shinra was the only one who didn't cry because she believed that she needed to be strong for her sisters. Whilst Yume thought this was cruel, Shinra did do the ultimate sacrifice for her sisters and this was because she loved them.

Yume does remember in the end and apologises making it a happy end overall.

Despite the interesting stuff that happens in episode 10, to me this is the weakest episode of the series so far. It seems to me that the pace isn't able to match all the things that are going on at once. The quality is a bit down as well, which further added to that feeling. Still heart-warming though, and we do get to see the bond of the sisters being explored.

Okay, now that we have the (weak) Yume issue out of the way...

...on to the finishing episodes, which will have more non-humorous drama. The main problem I have with the Yume crisis is that there wasn't really much beef to it - it was relatively trivial in nature, and so was the resolution. Therefore my reaction in the game just like in the anime was *shrug*, "tsugi".

There's one thing which worries me a little bit. In the game, this was the phase in which the Ren-Shinra linkup got more substantial. However, what they did very well in the first episodes (pointing out Ren's infatuation with her) has been superseded by the Ageha arc, and in MY opinion they should start to reestablish that interest, really quick. Some Shinra hugs alone won't cut it. Yes, Ren DID very forcefully (not to say very rudely) nailed down the Yume point with her, and she visually WAS taken aback, so Ren is arguably beginning to "climb over the wall". However, the necessary romantic foundation is a bit weak now.

Ah well, let's see.

Yeah, your point has been what has me the most concerned following the whole Ageha spectacle (which is all it really panned out as), since it seems like they really have to accelerate fast if they want to move that relationship.

Actually it's 3 more ep. This is a 13 ep series.

Special dvd-only episode or whatever. I don't think that 13 episodes is going to cut it if the anime wants to make a good lasting impression.

She never demotes Ren to my recollection, she only _fires_ him after his semi-confession after her poor performance.

During the "neglected Yume" part, he only gets a little bit overboard with his pushiness, but that was handled quite okay in the anime.

I was also referring to the part where he had to "work his way up" again so to speak, only for his father to find him and becomes troubled about it.

Well this episode was full of Miyu goodness and we get a look at not only her mindset but also what her day to day activities are. The argument between Miyu and Shinra was interesting as we see a financial side to the situation with Miyu giving money for her monthly expenses. Im not sure if this was in the game or not since i have not played but this makes me think to a bigger problem. Shinra is supporting that very rich life style on her own it cant be easy is this a sign that she might be having financial hardships?

Ren has proved himself very valuable to the household successfully being able to serve Shinra and Miyu. He even over came his embarrassment of seeing her naked or scrubbing her body. This is all well and good but for god sake hes still a male and we just cant turn that shit off unless your manhood has been take. But Ren learned his lesson and dear god Hato is as scary as ever i dont think she will allow any women close to Ren in such a manner even if one of them is her mistress but damn sleeping in the same bed as Miyu and Hato FREKIN WIN all around.

But i cant help to think that Ren has been treading close to overstepping his bounds a little he contradicted Shinra right in the open and even raised his voice that is not something one should do to their master. The first thing to get you in trouble is when you take liberties where you should not. But Ren is just a kind hearted guy and thats why he does these things.

Im really getting tired of Shinra's lack of attention to Yume and we see her falling back into depression again and this time breaking down crying at the end. Such a innocent pure hearted girl should not cry over these things. Im sure why Shinra treats her this way will be revealed but its just upsetting to see the lack of attention or caring.

Over all not a bad episode but i cant help but to feel this is going to be a vauge ending and i hate those the most there is just not enough time if they are going to do anything with Ren and Shinra.

I have to agree with this. As much as I love shinra, it is disappointing to see such a flaw, though I guess it makes her more human. Another jab at her is her sudden OOCness in ep 9 and then getting confused at why Miyu left with such an attitude...honestly, she did start the argument >.>

I agree with you, but I hadn't really placed much thought on a vague/clear ending until they took that turn with Ageha which made me wonder exactly how far they'd go with a conclusion..., either way, we might be pleasantly surprised. It's been an enjoyable show for the most part, so it should at least deliver on that much.

Ep 9: Nothing really happened this episode, Ren's become better at being a butler, slight falling out between Miyu and Shinra and poor Yume is being neglected again.

Also I don't think the story has progressed far enough to end at just 13 eps, if there is no season 2 then I feel Noble Masters wasn't as good as it could have been.
