A combo video starting off showing off some Will solo setups and later shows what his various partners can do with his SP canceling ability. I've got no qualms calling this the best combo exhibition to ever grace this series, particulary because of the second part showcasing the creative partner combos. I've also uploaded a new nico match to my channel as per usual, and there's a pretty big batch coming up later today. Last edited by CrimsonMoonMist; 2012-03-03 at 08:40. |

I remember trying Dlanor's metaspecial to 22AB canceled metaspecial... didn't know it would connect though. Pretty much mastered it now, and it's sorta pratical since it doesn't waste that much meter.
The combos overall are pretty fucking awesome, but I still believe some are not very pratical since normally someone would object to a meta declaration. It could be pulled off against people careless enough to fight with 0 SP against someone with 5 SP though, lol. Off to practice Battler's. |

Maybe I just suck at this game, but most of the combos in the Will video(while awesome) looked extremely improbable due to the fact that escaping combos is so easy in this game.Anyone in their right mind would always get in at least one meta objection before you could even start the combo, rendering the whole thing a waste of time, and then unless you get stunned halfway through, you can easily waste some SP to swap to your partner to escape getting hit, it even works during Battler's SP2.
Only at the part where they start getting juggled is where I see the combos being useful, but for example, Dlanors combo where she basically got her meta super twice in a row, many people at that point would be able to meta object, screwing up EVERYTHING. Maybe they need to make long strings of combos a bit more rewarding, with Dlanor I can hit them 4 times in total, including my SP 2, and do 1k damage to them. Using up your whole SP pool just to do 3000 damage under such improbable odds seems highly situational. I know Dlanor is just super powerful like that, but a lot of characters feel like that really. Guess I either still have a lot to learn, or these combos are really just to look cool, and get lucky with. |

I think they should fix that, offense is so underpowered in this game. Too easy to escape combos, most games I play with a ''Get out of jail free'' option don't come nearly as cheaply as they do in OMK, and sometimes can only be used once per match. Well, I mean, this is OMK and not ''other fighting games'' but eh...

Also Crimson, that video of Battler/Rono vs Erika/Rono is awesome. It shows as well how insane the latter combination is and how the tide can turn easily with a single counter hit boosted. |
