They could try re-introducing the Variety Gift ep as a flashback (like they did with the first ep of haru), and doing so while resuming 2-4 seems good to me. But I don't think they will, indeed, resume the ovas into the TV series if they choose this way of making the 4th season. They would think it a waste of time and money. Plus, they will hope people who like a TV series but didn't watch the ovas, will eventually get interested in knowing a story they missed, and end up buying them anyway.... But I think a lot of fans actually bought the OVAs, because they wouldn't have chosen to animate a fourth season if that 3rd wasn't already a success.

I think you mean the 4th Season right...? Because the 4th OVA has been out for a while.
We still don't know, you can read the latest pages and see everyone's opinion about that...

I don't know when it will come out, but it had better be soon! I can't find much info on the novels after Vol. 20 or 21 and so they have to animate it quick!!! But I want to read the novels....AARRGH! Why don't whoever publishes the novels sell english-translated versions??

I'm all for a TV series. It's very hard to watch the OVAs, and there's no where I can afford to buy the episodes. It's too expensive, at least where I come from. Shops which sell animes are very rare, so shops that do sell such OVAs and series put it at a ridiculously high price.

A problem with the OVA format is the many plots marimite have to follow. Look at the third season. 5 50 minute OVA's simply wasn't enough.
Well, 5 OVA's == 10 TV series, right? Almost a TV...

Maybe in winter (their winter, because if Im right they are in summer)
Just being hopeful (and a little exaggerated ), I think that the new season could be released in a half of year (enough to make a chapter or and ova, I think)
[sorry if I made grammar mistakes]

Its hard to decide if i'd watch a fourth series to play out as TV series, or a selection of OVA's again. I'll lean towards OVA's more because of the beautiful animation, and DVD quality sure does help show that of --- each of the five specials were spectacular to watch. Shall have to wait and see~

Season 3 ended up with the 17th novel, right?
And I heard there are already 30 novels..
So, in order to catch up, we need up until Season 6
to get all MariMite-ness XD

Actually, at this point we still don't know if it is going to be a 13 episode TV series, or another five(?) episode OVA.

What scenes are you desperate to see?
I don't know what is happening in the novels at this point in time, but personally, I'm most interested in some more development of the Touko/Yumi/Kanako "triangle" and seeing where that goes.

Of course, anything that would bring Sei back for an appearance would be welcome, too.

From what I've been hearing and reading, the 4th season is going to be another OVA season.

Yeah, that's what I thought, I was hoping for another TV season. It's been debated and talked about heavily over in the 'Maria-sama ga miteru OVA 5 - Ciao Sorella' thread if you're looking for more info. If that's way to much reading, pm Noriko and/or Stephanie, they are a lot more familiar with the series and manga than me, and they stay up to do with the info on the 4th season. You'll see them in that thread so you'll know how they are.

I'm not knacking the OVA's, it's just that I liked the TV series because I don't like the super long waiting period between OVA episodes.
