Basically I'm looking mainly for animes that have a badass male lead like Mugen from Samurai Champloo preferably with a pretty female lead with some romance

it doesn't have to be sword fights but theres needs to be some action like the FMP series or Kaze No Stigma

btw plz dun recommend Cowboy Bebop, Samurai 7, or Samurai Deeper Kyo bc i've already seen all those

I can't think of a very good one, but I guess Basilisk, even though it is in the "mature" rating. Most of the people in there are cool. And another one on the top of my head would probably be Tenjou Tenge, even though i hated it, was so boring, but a cool male lead and a beautiful female char, i guess? both of them have action but basilisk is more gory ^^

Coyote Ragtime Show's "Mister" (yep, that's his name!) should fit your bill. He's pretty cool and clever and can take on the most powerful female underworld boss and her army of 12 "goth-maid-dressing" super female androids!

gotcha, so you want a main character that is not a wuss, that's kind of rare these days

The only recent one I can think of : Berserk

Those are great animes that I used to watch as a kid.
