Man Sumomo and Tsuwabuki really are a nervous couple in episode 8. Pretty funny watching them though. Plus get some good bits with Sumomo's head turning about as red as it can get. Especially when watching those couples she just completely stopped moving entirely

But thanks to friendship prodding they did get their first date. Even the next day while checking on that bulb getting their first kiss as well. Seriously Sumomo got one heck of a power boost. Getting together with Tsuwabuki and that kiss really did get her abilities right up there blowing Yuki right out of the water in terms of ability.

Yeah boo to dark foreshadowing. Everything is on a high so naturally he's gotta dim us down a bit with some negative stuff coming up.

Well out is episode 9. Geeze I did predict something like this would happen but you can't feel for the heavy emotions going on until they come.

You have the early bits that remind you how darn moe this series is. Have Tsuwabuki turning red then steaming after the good old teacher calls Sumomo his lover. He really has been one interesting protagonist so far. You have a pretty cool guy, somewhat uneasy in terms of speaking to others, has a stuffed animal persona, and can get really embarassed. A guy that I really don't have a problem liking as a character.

Can't blame Yuuki for being so upset about the whole thing. I've had times of being a bit grated about those with incredible talent having these things just come to them. Though knowing it wasn't so simple for Sumomo having to deal with a lot of emotional pains and feelings of not being good enough along hte way. Yuuki did amaze though working herself to the bone to make that recipe usable.

Damn I was hoping for some cool Nako vs Tsuwabuki combat

. But really she was being one amazing friend protecting Sumomo's secret like that. Yuuki didn't do bad in the fight either until she lost her control and tried using a very dangerous recipe multiple times. It was nice with the team effort with Tsuwabuki and Nako supporting Sumomo. Can feel the shock and sadness for all the characters at the end when he transformed to a lifeless doll.

Mmm tsuwabuki is probably one of the best male leads ive seen in ages. Just really cool and really sweet...Matches the little moe overload that is akihime perfectly.

She better hurry up and fix him next episode...Im already missing the furious blushing that is that couple.

For those who might've been put off by the early eps of the series, give this another shot as it gets going with the story after a few eps. Tsuwabuki I notice does has a mix of the apathy, but also of the shy and timid side which you see as he spends more time with Sumomo. It's cute to see both him and Sumomo stumble around in their relationship, especially when their friends get involved.

By the way, for those of you who have played the PC game will be happy to know that the OP song from the game is in the final episode of the series.

IIRC, he calls them that in the game, as they're all friends with each other.

And I absolutely just love this series. Too bad for the people who disregarded it a as "pointless fluffy mahou shoujo" show. I did talk about this show's potential, but ah well.

Just watched up to 8, as I'm really catching up on huge backlogs (eroge + anime backlogs = OH WHAT IS THIS DELIGHTFUL TORMENT I SEEK), and I'm sure that the producers of the show are having too much fun. If you've noticed Sumomo's mail address, it's sumomo-peacepeace@ito-noizi-web or something along those lines.

Hopefully there'll be a Peace@Pieces anime!

Spoiler: Not only did Sumomo learned two new recipes and acquired two drops, but also overcame her shyness to confess to Tsuwabuki; accepted his invitation; and those two gathered their courage and natural feelings to kiss at their hiding spot. The Stellar Spinners' powers grow exponentially when her heart is in harmony and feels the bliss of beautiful moments to create happy memories. Unfortunately, not all was joy and surprise since Asparas felt completely outclassed and underwhelmed by Sumomo, a rookie that had no experience whatsoever at being a Stellar Spinner compared to a genius like her.

Anyway, since the end of the episode 8 when Masaharu/Yuki-chan said that last line, I'm kinda thinking this series might take a tragic turn. I have no idea how though. It might be awesome!

Spoiler for Episode 11 major spoilage...: Don't get involved with Mahou Shojous unless you want a year's worth of memories wiped. o_O So basically, the deal was, he either takes the potion and forgets completely about Sumomo, or he goes back to being a stuffed animal forever and ever, and this time, no amount of mahou shojou will turn him back. Hmm... forget the first love of your life, or spend the rest of your life on her stuffed animal shelf? Oh well, was nice knowing you, I guess. Besides, nobody ever marries their first love, let alone remembers them by the time they're in college. Damn, producers, you guys are cruel. What's up with all the magical secrecy, anyway? I always thought that was kind of lame... excessively so in this series. Poor lil' Sumomo was brave at the end, though. sniff Even though he totally forgot about her after taking the potion... Ah well. Hopefully there'll be some sort of non-sucking resolution in episode 12.

Spoiler: Nona was afflicted by jealousy because she felt overwhelmed by Sumomo. She's a stellar spinner borned from hard work, however, Sumomo surpassed her not because she inherited her mother's talent but because being kind and cheerful makes her potential to grow infinitely. Nona tried to use the same recipe over and over to slow down Sumomo at the match, but her ladle lost control and casted a storm instead. If it wasn't for Tsuwabuki, Sumomo would not have been able to pull through her depression and despair. However, Tsuwabuki paid the price to tell Sumomo the secret and thus became a lifeless Yuuki-chan forever upon a teary-eyed Sumomo. But those higher powers can never realize that Tsuwabuki chose to let the secret being discovered due that he loves Sumomo and could not stand anymore watching her to struggle helpless. If he had to make a sacrifice he did so for love to Sumomo.

mdauben Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: In a world all my own	I just finished watching episode 10, and had a few comments on it: Spoiler for Ep 10: First, it almost seemed kind of rushed for Sumomo to save Tsuwabuki so quickly. I was kind of expecting this to be the climax of the season. Still, I suppose that this "lost memory" thing is just a continuation of the problem and resolution of that will be the climax of the season On a related note, if Tsuwabuki's been "reset" by six months, why did he call Sumomo "Sumomo" as soon as he got back? Six months ago he was calling her "Akahime", and he didn't switch to "Sumomo" until just before the accident. Still liking this series, and looking forward to the last few episodes!
