Last I checked, you must be 18 to marry if you're a man, and must be 16 if you're a woman in Japan. So... for Shinobu, motion is denied! He's hopeless! ha!

Didn't know that different age thing, I thought it was 16 for both just because I've seen so many 16 year old girls getting married in animes

I never realized guys were 18... Poor Shinobu

Well folks, it happened what it had to happen with recent or popular shows: As of this day, Godannar is officially licensed by ADV films.

It was about time this anime got its proper license, however, I never saw it coming from ADV.

Nothing in the course of life is certain for sure.

Damn, and I was just two episodes before knowing how all will have ended.
The long and tedious line formed to wait for all the DVD releases.

I would've been surprised if they didn't. If it's got titties a-bouncing, they usually license it... the wierd thing is, they don't usually license GOOD shows, so I'm surprised they picked this up. Looks like I'll be hunting up raws now, or something else >.>

Nah, think of it as advanced booking. If the genes hold true then this guy will have a major growth spurt soon and he'll start looking like a 6ft 10" tall, iron muscled hulk with a square jaw [ie: his brother

Anyway, I'm actually quite surprised just like some of you people that Godannar was left unlicensed for so long. It practically had the prime ingredients for an easily marketable title. I wonder what kept it from pushing through.

This one is definitely on my 'to buy' list when it comes out. I'm not a big fan of the giant robot, 'I must waste 20 minutes saying the name of my giant robot's special ability becuase the stupid designer made it a voice activated command and not a shiny button or control' genre, but the characters and story (and fanservive too) is great. Shizuru is easily my favorite character, and I love how she set's her celphone to vibrate.

My only hope is that is come accross six disc and not seven...

The 7 year time-jump, man all the women got even hawter... Anna-chan, Loe-chan, Hell even Shizuru seemed to have gotten ahem...'larger'... She still seems to like Shinobu, but Koji is there jealous as hell... Plus then Shinobu has one of Anna's former classmates into him... And the circle continues... I was almost hoping they didn't show that final battle and that it was going to lead into an OVA or something.
