Just the satisfaction that you've competed a mission on Hard Ex. That's all you need.

Well, apparently, you do get weapons for beating some stages on Hard Ex. Some are not really better than the other weapons which you can get through normal gameplay, but they are good if you want to fill up the armoury.

My Armory was full before i even purchased Hard Ex.

No idea where you've heard that from.

The Aces on Hard Ex give extra weapons Shiroth.

Most of them are just stronger versions of the Imperial rifles/machineguns/etc, but there's an anti-tank flamethrower and an anti-tank sniper rifle as well.

Ya, kalbron had that one right. So, it's an additional challenge. Not only do you have to clear the stage, but you have to get the Ace. Ouch.

Good luck on Barious Desert killing the Sniper Ace!

I basically had to get a scout up behind his tower on the other side of the map to shoot at him and make him face the other way so he would finally stop dodging everything!

yeah, all the enemy aces in the DLC packs have ridiculous dodge rates. I had the most proplems with the Marberry Shore Hard EX since the ace runs away to that far base after the first turn .

As for the new weapons, they're really not all that special. They're neat and all, but I think the specialty weapons you get from Cordelia are ultimately better. The only ones I thought were useful are the anti-tank weapons, but then that's what you have lancers for :-/.

Its about time. I've been waiting what seems like ages for him to review the game.

Right; I've got to hand it to this game for coming up with something that eccentric. Not wrong, given that Panzer crews had good reasons to not be fond of Molotovs, but still...

I wonder... does that ace sport shades and slicked-back blonde hair...? If so, you might have found Wesker!

Funny how he makes a joke about their being no auto save when you can actually save during a mission.

Oh yeah, how hard is it to keep everyone alive throughout the game? I would like to be able to get all the characters.

Some fellows can be obtained only if someone else dies. I think Shiroth can shed more light on the system.

I completed the game without having any of Squad 7 members die, and that's without saving during missions so it can happen. Just be prepared to restart a mission if a member dies on you.

& yes, you unlock Emile by getting Oscar's hidden potential, then he has to be killed during a mission. You unlock Lynn by unlocking Karl's hidden potential, then letting him fall in combat.

Well they only have to get knocked out. You can go and call for a medic to save them and you'll still get Emile/Lynn so they don't have to die. Only time I've ever let someone die was on mission 18 on my NG+ when I just picked a random character and ran him into the enemy so I could get the splintered horn achievement.

No, Oscar has to actually die so you can unlock his brother. An enemy has to pick him up --- that's what death is in this game.

No he doesn't. I got both Emile and Oscar on my very first playthrough when I didn't let a single person die. I didn't even know letting Oscar go down would unlock Emile when I got him.
