Anyone Heard of Lux Pain
I came across this DS Adventure game called Lux Pain and was wondering if anyone has heard about it? It's JP only right now so info is pretty scarce but from what I've read it's similar to Time Hollow except it has a sort of conspiracy meets horror theme going on. I don't know too much in regards to the specifics but it looks a lot like Time Hollow which I really enjoyed. Has anyone heard of this game or perhaps even played it?
I can say this much though, the art looks good: |

Yes, I heard of it before but totally forgot about it until seeing this thread.
I believe it will be coming stateside by spring next year. For more information, visit here. I like the idea of how Lux Pain utilizes the stylus, its pretty cool! As for the game itself, it seems to be very promising. I just hope this game will feature multiple routes and multiple endings, unlike Time Hollow. Actually, I am more looking forward to Square-Enix's localization of Sigma Harmonics, the main reason why I bought the DS in the first place. At the time I bought my DS, I actually thought that Sigma Harmonics was already released and it was pretty disappointing to find that it wasn't and will probably never be. Awesome. Glad to hear about a US release. I love these DS JP adventure games and can't get enough of them.
I checked out info on Sigma Harmonics and your right, it looks really cool. Now you've gone and made me sad knowing I won't get to experience it. |

Well, actually no :/
Battle are only trigger when you recover the memory of students that you meet. Monster that you see in those videos are students or people when they get infect too long with Silent and worms. Silent are generated because people hide some secrets and lied for themselves. What you actually see in the Opening is just people when they completely lost themselves for Silent and you're here to avoid that. The main protagonist, Atsuki Saijo, is actually investigate about Silent and transfered to the academy. Battle are more like Trauma Center without any tools, just using the stylus as a weapon and touching weaks points. I had record some videos before for this game but my account was suspended and i created a new one with a video of the final battle, the ending of the game and all artworks. Actually, the game is enjoyable for the story but do not expect much about battle. The ending is also good, i share a tear.

Well, it's not a game that you may buy when it's released but maybe when it's cheap. As i said, Story is good but not so so and the ending is enjoyable, sad but the whole game is following dialogue, investigate, eliminate Worms and then after Silent.
21 Chapter for some 20h.

There is abit of relationship building with the whole networking system they have in Lux-Pain though. I did like at least how you could see peoples feelings when you answered them in certain ways.
One thing is for sure the final boss music was epic as hell.

Hey, just pointing out that the official US site is up.
http://www.luxpain.com/ I really dig the dark theme it has and the cast of characters look good. |
