Such an awesome conclusion to the arc! the battle was epic, and such a great heartstring-tugging ending... And I'm excited that Pirako joined Yorozuya, as well as a new ED!

Pretty good arc , kinda dissapoint for Pirako's easy ownage by Shinpachi but well Gintama's fights aren't the strong points in the anime. Shinpachi is getting stronger

I think this is definitely going down in history as one of my favorite arcs in Gintama. I just finished the first season around a week ago and going into the 2011 season has me all full of goosebumps. Gintama in HD is just so....<3 I love the new OST as well, but am I the only one who thinks that one serious BGM is overplayed--- the one that was playing during Gintoki and Jirocho's first battle at the grave site. It was really epic stuff until it was used in the not so glorious end of Kada >_>"

But anyways, my belly's satisfied with it's intake of Gintama for the day(: Now back to the extruciatingly slow rest of the week until the next episode comes out @_@

^I agree. The BGM is partially what made the first battle against Jirocho so damn epic. But then to hear it again in the next episode with Gintoki vs bunch of fools outside of the shop, and later on as well, it was kinda '' meh ''. It didn't really fit those battles, they weren't epic enough :P

Oh and btw, the '' season '' you refer to consists of multiple seasons.. I don't think there's a single anime out there that would consist of 201 episodes. Technically you could consider the now airing Gintama as first season, since this is Gintama'. Notice the ' there.

It's just easy for some people to label the first 201 episodes as the first season, and what we're watching now is the second. I see no harm being done.

haha I actually thought about that too, but as the comment above states, some people (such as myself) like to group the whole 201 episodes before as o whole season due to laziness. It's the slacker's way -___-b yessir.

I don't know if that was the greatest Gintama arc ever or the biggest "eff the me over"-ever...Surely it was great, but alot of intense, shocking feelings this arc forced me to have was put to bed rather quickly, beginning with Otose's death being a ruse...

Oh man, at first I was like are we going to see Takasugi vs Kamui??? However the end was pretty epic with them joining forces for a moment.

Also "We oppose the Greater Edo Ordinance Regarding the Healthy Development of Youths!"

"I just want to destroy... the Greater Edo Ordinance Regarding the Healthy Development of Youths!" Takechi was so hilarious in this episode. First, Baka Ouji voicing over Takasugi, and now this. They're totally destroying Takasugi's image

That was a pretty tense episode, with some nice plot advancement. It's been a while since the main plot moved that much.

So much Takasugi goodness, damn, I missed him a lot, and this was very satisfying indeed. Loved him and Kamui joining forces in the end. Great jokes this episode, too, with Takechi and Admiral Aho XD So I guess this was a single-episoder? Since I see Kondo and Gintoki with comical expressions in the preview, and the title of it's fairly self-explanatory as well I'm neutral about the ED though. I like the song but not sure about the visuals; the Yorozuya trio running looks kind of comical and I didn't like Takasugi's pose near the end... :S __________________ Last edited by Haladflire65; 2011-07-04 at 23:48.
