Kitsune's finished already: Seimei threw Kitsune straight into Hell.
Even if Yamabuki 2 retains her abilities, the different personality will make her and Kitsune-Yamabuki different characters.

It still feels kinda of cheap though, especially since her body took most of the damage and by all rights should be dead. It's tragic considering her backstory during this chapter, but it makes the most sense, IMO.

Youkai are generally more durable though, heck, Rikou split that big guy in half and he just sewed himself back together.

I THINK the body is supposed to be human

Technically wouldn't Kitsune possessing a youkai body be really weird? When I think of possession by spirits I think of human bodies.

In fact, I think that's why matoi works for Rihan and Rikuo but not for Nurarihyon.

Plus she managed to touch the seal. That's something that youkai can't do

I think the body turns into a youkai body once Kitsune possess it. Remember that Nurarihyon killed the former host with Neneikimaru, a sword that can't seriously wound humans.

problem is that they used the resurrection technique on otome. Meaning that should be her original body given life but turned younger. However her original body was a youkai as well. Hopefully we'll get some info on this next chapter.

Even if she survives though remember the flashback with seimei the resurrection technique was used but the body decayed quickly afterwards.

The opposite actually: it increases the chances of a RikuoxYoukai pairing as that way curse is relevant, with RikuoxHuman it will get much less relevant.
And since Rihan in past choose a youkai as his first wife and suffered because of the curse, "Nura's like humans anyway" solution wouldn't be satisfying. So the "Curse gets lifted" solution feels essential.

Of course, this is looking at the current situation. The curse can end up having another role, but I can't really come up with another.

Finally seen ch 133. Those are my questions as well. I thought Kitsune can only take over a human host.

Seimei's cycle of birth in chapter 120 clearly showed that any being who died can be reborn into something else.

depends if the curse is still in effect. There's no coming back for hagoromo gitsune after being cast into hell like that. maybe by that happening the curse was lifted.

But she didn't 'die', did she? All it said was she disappeared then one time, she heard this voice from hell, and then she was turned into a child.

Reason being that no matter what, Kitsune is still their leader. -From Rikuo's PoV, Nue forcibly took the leadership from Kitsune, and indirectly from him due to semi-related to Nura. for that, Rikuo cannot forgive. -The broken sword was sent to Akifusa for rebuild. request is to build something superior to it -Yura is staying behind to take care of the remeants -Hidemoto estimated Nue will return in about one-year. Nue's body, in theory, should also be incorruptable and immortal -Rikuo officially become the third head. Reason being that they are at an all out conflict against Nue group for supremacy in fear, and thus have no room to back away. He listed out two rules for all those that serves under him. 1) Attacks based on Grudges, Vengeance, and Malicious Trickeries are forbidden and unforgivable. Note that Yokai in general are born from Grudges and Vengeance. 2) No losing of Jingi (which encompass honor AND humanity, and chivalry) , even in defeat.
