So this thing is seriously getting animated?

The web version is 6000+ pages on my kindle. Granted, the kindle makes things look longer than they really are, especially with an all dialog series like this. But I don't see how they can cram it into 26 eps without seriously cutting some stuff.

I'm guessing it either make an anime original, (doesn't follow manga/LN but rather just uses the same setting ) or take all the important events and try to cram it into one series then leaves quite a lot unexplained?

It's also a good way to do transmedia advertising, if done correctly it should draw more people to the books or manga.

Well maybe but do you think an anime can cover all that material in one season? I'd much rather a nice open ending than a rush to some ending skipping tons of stuff.

I vote for a second season (depending on the "quality" of the anime)

I think we should already expect the anime to cut content as most adaptation rarely do 1:1 ratios. If show gets popluar enough (we know the LN at very least has great "word of mouth") we may very well start seeing multiple seasons anyway.

I've actually seen it, and thought it was like SAO's 16.5 for a second. The art almost looks identical.
