the opening is "rolling stars" or "rolling days" not sure....

What I don't get is in the beginning ishida owned kariya with all his shots but kariya healed himself...how? I mean when ishida shot the oher girl she died with one hit...or is it that thing kariya obtained?

ooo I got chills when I was watching the OP w/ scenes from the movie, as well as the ED!

This episode was pretty good I'd say. There were a few things that bothered me.

1) where they showed the Shinigami killing the Bounto in the cave, one of the Shinigami had his sword in the upright position and thrusted it at a Bounto apparantly slicing him...though the Bounto fell back before the sword even reached him...bad animation there...

2) I bet they could of had Ishida fire all that energy at Kariya while he was regenerating/healing, but I guess they have to let Ichigo do everything since Kariya is the big bad boss and Ichigo is the MC :P

3) back to the Shinigami murder spree in the cave...did I see some rakes and pitchforks? o_O also...how does one make a slicing sound w/ those tuning fork things? <_<

Imo Anime movies are just glorified high budget filler.

This Ep was ok.

I wish the filler writers would decide if Ishida is either useless or amazing...

Kariya is like 100X better than Yoshi.
Yoshi was Easily 2X better than full strength Ishida.
Now after a bit of a rest Ishida is on par with Kariya?

Ridiculous.

Additionally if it was his intention and sole goal to finish Kariya he did a pretty shit job didn't he?

Wasted the element of suprise and Ran Tao's paralysing attack.

Ah well Ichigos on the scene which means that unless someone runs off we're stepping up to our last few eps of this filler arc (and possibly the end of the fillers) thank god.

Looking forward to some relevant engaging storyline when we rejoin the real Bleach Story.

Lol at Bankai Ichigo-esque Ishida against Kariya. So reminded me of Ichigo vs Byakuya, except with blue arrows

Except Ishida was a dumbass and used all of his power with that attack and the big arrow-in-the-sky crap.

The "rakes" and "pitchforks" that you see in that scene are weapons called tsukubo and sasumata, respectively. These were two of the three standard weapons used by police in Japan during the Edo period (the third standard weapon was the sodegarami, or "sleeve-tangler"). These weapons are designed to pin, trip and/or immobilize opponents so that they could be disarmed or captured. Or, as the shinigami wound up doing, you can simply hack or bludgeon your opponent to death with them instead.

If you think about it, if a Bound escaped and told someone(that actually knows about Shinigami) that it was Shinigami that were trying to kill them with rakes and pitchforks, would that someone belive them?

Assuming the Shinigami were trying to hide their killing spree.

Also, Rukia's guards/escorts to her exicution weilded thoes weapons, so theres precidence for shinigami to use them.

Yeah, people tend to make too big of a deal about the episodes being fillers
