Sigh. Now confirmed. Volume 6 has 0 pictures. The manga illustrator didnt draw for it because people were bashing him.
There is only the cover and the color illustration posted by Eijigawa.

Well, there's always the hope that later prints can have illustrations added...which would in turn be a big screw you to people who buy it now. I visited the mangaka's blog, and he didn't seem to mention the whole bashing thing; was the source from 2ch or somewhere else? I'm just curious about the whole story, if you wouldn't mind linking or PMing it.

for the chara we already know,including the last vanadis,it won't be a problem but for the new one-there's probably will be a new girl like the princess in the last arc tigre will meet in the new kingdom-wether he will have to save her or not;along with new artifact(or magical weapon if you prefer) like durandal,conected to god and royalty.
all we be left to our imagination.

Pretty bad it seems. You can ask a certain someone how bad it is. I find this funny though. Because the made fun of the artist they don't get pics. The manga artist and the novel artist don't really differ that much from what I've seen. The light novel art is usually held to higher standard especially if its the ecchi type. They might of bashed on the artist thinking he was going to replace the LN artist or something. Honestly who knows. If you can read jap you should probably go on 2ch and check. I wonder if IS will get the same backlash. Since the artist is the guy who does Xenosaga. The IS will look awesome albeit almost mecha-like. But the characters... will look sorta weird. Light Novels are weird in general. If your artist can't make it on time they can't reschedule... Since this isn't the first time the artist for vanadis has made the deadline i'm guessing their really sick or something. If he gets hospitalized or can't draw I wonder who will draw. Since the manga artist isn't going to try again and his art isn't that bad either maybe smaller if you know what I mean.

I can't find why LN illustrations are held in higher regard than manga. The illustrator for this series is very good, Miyama Zero is awesome too, but some series like Campione!, Unbreakable Machine Doll are so horrible (Campione! is very bad imo).
To be honest, I don't like the mangaka's artwork... I'm not stupid enough to bash him though since I want illustrations.

Also, I don't understand why the illustrators have a hard time keeping up with deadline. Maybe he works on multiple series.

I hope the later printed will add illustrations, especially before vol. 6 is released in Thailand. The price for LN in Thailand isn't expensive. Manga tankobon's price in Thailand is 20x cheaper than in the USA...

and I think the illustrator had a hard time keeping up with the deadline cause he was sick? Anyway I think people just tend to like the initial illustrations shown, cause that was the first one they saw and they got use to the art =P

Can't really agree with the unbreakable machine doll and campione! art comment tho, bad maybe but horrible? no
