It looks like the series Shiro Seijo to Kuro Bokushi (Saint Cecilia and Pastor Lawrence) is getting an anime adaptation.

Myanimelist Synopsis

Dwelling in the small outskirts of a peaceful town, Lawrence works as a local pastor for the townsfolk. When in need, he is responsible for guiding people to the church to visit the "Saint"—a symbol of good morals who heeds each parishioner’s struggles and grants them sincere advice. Cecelia, a kind young girl, is tasked to fulfill this role; however, this tiresome job quickly exhausts her. That, paired with her hidden somnolent nature, often causes her to laze around the church. This leaves Lawrence to care for the church all by himself. While Cecelia sleeps in anticipation for her next visitor, Lawrence caters to her needs alongside performing the church's numerous responsibilities.

Slowly but surely, they begin to form a comfortable and trusting friendship with one another. Lawrence accepting Cecelia's lax nature elates her while she grows accustomed to Lawrence's overly-doting nature. However, as the adoring and absent-minded saint's feelings for the dense and overly protective pastor progress past friendship, how will he respond?

Only thing I'm wondering is if they'll actually present the Church in an accurate way. Even if it's Saint Tail levels I'd be fine with it, but I get the feeling this might be one that doesn't really understand how Christianity (of any denomination) works.

Another adaptation I wasn't expecting. The series is cute, although I'm still not 100% used to the idea of a priest in love since I live in a country where the catholic church is overwhelmingly preponderant.

Might be because the author has done some light novel illustrations, particularly for The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten .

Right, the fact that Cecilia is a Saint, but he's called a Pastor already has me raising my eyebrows some.

It's funny how we have Kaito Ishikawa in a emotional romantic drama and Kaito Ishikawa in a cute and fluffy romcom all in one day! And who knew we just needed a romcom to have religion portrayed well in an anime for once ?

Pastor Lawren lives with the Saint Cecilia, who when she's not a lazy lady in thigh-highs is always ready to dish out advice and help out around her community as a proper Saint! Though I guess part of why she's so lazy is because Lawren frets over her so much and won't let her do anything...even though what she wants most is to just be with him because she's head over heels in love with him !

ClariS on OP duties! Can't get more romcom-y than that! Especially with all the cute visuals of Lawren, Cecilia, and their life together and with their friends as Cecilia tries to be closer to Lawren .

I was actually wondering what justification there was for Cecilia being a Saint and if that was just a title randomly foisted on her...but it seems like she actually does receive Divine Interventions from God and can talk to Angels...heck, she's jealous the angels get to hang out with Lawren more than she can. And she gets by with card tricks when asked to perform a miracle .

Mai Nakahara running a boutique! And she's already acting like Cecilia is her first daughter! And she's more than ready to see said daughter in a wedding dress next to Lawren .

I never expected to see a Saint try to ward off a prospective love rival by telling her all the less then desirable traits in the guy she likes. Saint can't lie, but the real truth is how much she cherishes Lawren and everything he does !

Wow, thanks random wingwoman who tried to get this couple to share an umbrella in the rain while flexing with her own boyfriend !

Well, Cecilia didn't get to share an umbrella with Lawren, but she did get princess carried all the way back to the church, so that's definitely a win .

A Saint must dedicate herself to the people and those who need her help...but this is a Saint who is in love and wants one person all to herself, as she embraces his sleeping self. Also nice to see more Cecilia's hair .

ED is really cute with showing Cecilia and Lawren in their daily life together and racing towards each other .

He's a pastor not a priest so its probably okay...

First episode was fairly cute and its a weak season for romcoms so I might stick with it.
